Maybelline New York Super Stay Full Coverage Powder Foundation Makeup, Up to 16 Hour Wear, Soft, Creamy Matte Foundation, Classic Ivory, 1 Count

I purchased this powder from Maybelline November 2021 for the first time, and since then it has become one of my favorite powder foundations to use on a regular basis several times a week or more, in recent weeks particularly. I do have a few powder foundations I sometimes like to 'rotate' between since my skin is combination with some parts highly oil producing throughout the course of a day, and certain parts of my skin are on the sensitive side as well, sometimes even probe to dryness and peeling or flaking. I like the natural and nontoxic ingredients in this powder foundation product and have found that it can be relatively easily applied using the rounded sponge applicator included in the packaging and/or with a facial brush of beauty blender/sponge in order to get a nice and evenly blended application that will not look overall harsh or cakey and instead for me, enhanced the smoothness of my skin and actually also helped a little to mitigate the appearance and buildup of extra oiliness on my skin throughout the day, provided it was not an excessively humid day I was wearing the product on (in which case I might suggest also coupling it with a mattifying fixing and oil absorbtion makeup spray, like one that Urban Decay currently offers). I like the design of the compact itself which comes with a small mirror as well as a little bottom layer or compartment for the sponge applicator to be stored below the powder tray and mirror. Both the overall design and functionality as well as the price point seem very reasonable to me, so this is a product I would be glad to recommend to others looking for an inexpensive foundation with decent ingredients, particularly for someone with a combination skin type as I described above.

Great product but it arrived cracked and broke apart from I tried to use it

I am 60ish and have dry, sensitive, breakout prone skin. It tends to be red and blotchy looking. Not a pretty picture in the AM! My go-to quick makeup has been physicians formula mineral wear, and in winter the color is creamy natural. Buff beige in summer. I thought I would try this as the price was right for an experiment. I use a lite moisturizer under makeup. I like my makeup very lite. This not only went on well over the moisturizer but it also did a good job of evening out tone without having to cake it on. I don't think it would do as well if you wanted Kabuki type full coverage. I am not sure how it would cover if you were hiding scars, etc. More layering would probably do the job. I will say that even for my fair skin, classic ivory was to light for my winter color. I will try the next shade darker next time, and yes, there will be a next time because it was quick, easy, portable, and will be a snap for touchups on the go. There was less dusting all over the place than my other makeup so for travel this would be great. It also has a nice mirror, but why all these guys put the mirror UNDER the makeup is beyond me. I don't need to see the makeup through the lid, I need to see the makeup going on me! One negative is that there is not much in there. Once per Ounce it's probably not as good a deal as my usual. I will update if it makes me break out!! :-)

I really like the coverage this gives.

I love this product but most of the time when I order it it comes broken. So it's hard to use sometimes and it gets everywhere. Needs better packaging when shipping

I love this foundation so much. It feels like I have no make up on and it doesn't accentuate my wrinkles at all. It lasts all day. I went all around trying to find it in a store. I have ordered it here from Amazon twice and it came in broken both times. I highly recommend the makeup but I do not recommend buying it here.

I have order this before and had no problems at all. The makeup came the way you would expect. This last order the makeup arrived busted into little pieces and had everything in the box covered with makeup. I was given the option to return it but not replace the item. I would not have been able to ship back with the mess it was making.

Can't find this powder anywhere! You enjoy something then they stop making it! Very annoyed.

Bought this makeup to replace one that is no longer sold and am very happy with it

For years I've been trying to replace MAC Studio Fix powder because of the cost. It's worth every penny but why not try to find something less expensive? Thing is, this Maybelline is not much cheaper than MAC! It's virtually the same cost when you factor in the ugly packaging, the useless sponge a bit more texture when layered. Which is so frustrating. MAC costs $2.33 CA a gram, this Super Stay is $2.17 CA a gram. I get more MAC at once, it has much nicer packaging, layers better and has a durable latex-free sponge. There's just no way I'll purchase this Maybelline product over the MAC unless I'm in a pinch. If you don't want to buy MAC for w/e reason, though, this is comparable for coverage, good natural shades (if you can find one) and staying power. Try it, it's good but you're not getting a deal for this Maybelline drugstore product, which makes me argh.

Right away when I saw the package inside was dirty and the fountain looks like it has two or three swipes on it. Package did come sealed but the sticker was looser and not tight like when you get it at the store. Inside the compartment with the sponge, you can tell it's a new sponge but the layer around it and on the plastic and mirror has makeup dust and a finger swipe.
