Nice Door Latch Kit - Welding Required!
I bought this to secure the doors on a shed, works great. Now, a here is some information that will hopefully be useful to potential purchasers. FIRST - The required 3/4" tubing - I wondered what that was, couldn't find any specs before I ordered the kit. Turns out 3/4" water pipe works just fine. Cut it to length and the cams are a slight press fit inside, taps right in with a hammer. Make sure you get both cams lined up properly. SECOND - Welding is necessary. The cams need to be welded to the pipe so they don't slip. The holder for the handle needs to be welded to the pipe. I'm a stick welding guy, so I used plain old 6013 rod to weld it up. Clean the welds and spray with cold galvanized spray to keep it from rusting. You will need to guy 3/8" hardware to attach everything except the latch, that piece takes 5/16" hardware. Seems like a durable kit, and should be as secure as you make it with your hardware choices. I will definitely buy again if I have another building project that needs it.

Tricky to install
Be sure to dry assemble the entire assembly before welding. On my trailer, I permanently mounted the cam lock hasps on the door frame first. Them cut my pipe to length (considering the cam locks in place). I actually drilled and pinned my cam locks in the pipe and put the assembly in place with the door tightly closed (I used vice grips to close the cams into the hasps securely). Then I installed the handle retaining plate on the door. Then (and only then) I put the handle in position on the pipe with the handle in the locked position in the handle retaining plate on the door and tack welded it in place. Once that was done, I disassembled the bar assembly and welded the handle and cams in place on the work bench. Then I completed my assembly. I would have given this item 5 stars but they shorted me one set of bar to door retainers and I can't find any place to get one. The manufacture is not responding to requests and it's to late to return the item.

Poor Quality Castings
The cam latch plates are cast out of some very weak material, used on cargo trailer side doors and guides were able to break both of the latch castings within one week of use. The rest of the hardware is ok but very light duty, no square holes for carriage bolts is also a negative. Would look to other manufacturers for sturdy hardware, this stuff is junk.

As expected, and priced well
Works well. I welded in a piece of 3/4โ galvanized pipe to complete the assembly and everything went together as expected. No major complaints, good value for the cost.

Great deal !
Great Value. Just need to buy a pole from your local hardware store. And you'll space a fraction of the price making it yourself. Total with the Cam lock system and pole from Home Depot. I spent all together $70. Cut it to length. Welded all around the clasps top and bottom. I built a tractor trailer cam lock door system for $70 vs the cheapest truck center that would do it for me was around $400 installed. Took me an hour all together, welded and bolted to the doors.
