RECEIVED A BOX HALF THE SIZE OF WHAT IS ADVERTISED/ORDERED
I was so excited to finally get my baklava I opened it and thought it was certainly smaller portions than what I normally see. Then realized that this was also a smaller box than what I remember the listing to show. And it was! WAY smaller, just look at the photo. The entire thing is doll sized scale for size of portions to top it off. I feel ripped off!

However when we tried the baklava it was a truly terrible experience, either the packaging/box was too old - since true baklava is supposed to be fresh not stored in a warehouse for weeks & month.. very disappointed. Its definitely not a gourmet and absolutely not a best gift, I would not recommend it to anyone unless they do not plan on tasting/eating it. Just bad..

fresh and flavorful but overpriced
Excellent quality. Very flavorful and fresh. I ordered on Jan 16, '18 and the box that I got was made on Dec 12, '17 (expires on Dec 12, '18). Very happy with the order though I think overpriced at $44 for the 2lb box

2 stars for freshness however the assortment was not proportional correct, you can tell they have more of the walnut and less of the pistachio therefore it makes the product overpricedI had the same exact box shipped to me from Dubai and it was totally different assortment ( equally disitrubted)Won’t buy it again due to lack of value

The quality is not as good as it is supposed to be. It looks like it's been prepared a year ago or it has been sitting in the garage for more than a year. I will never order it again.

Best baklava in the USA
We loved this baklava, and our guests loved it too. it tastes exactly like home, fresh and lightly sweetened.I was very surprised of those reviews saying it doesn’t taste good, but trust me I have never tasted a baklava that good accept in my home country - the home of Mediterranean sweets and best baklava in the Middle East -Baklava shouldn’t taste very sweet and shouldn’t be sticky and soaked with sugary syrup.It should be lightly sweetened and full with the taste and aroma of good quality ghee, and that’s exactly how layali baklava tastes like.I will definitely buy from layali again and again.It’s a great dessert for your special occasion and the best gift for your loved ones.

Very small pieces, overpriced product
Looking at the pictures, you might think this is a box of a regularly-sized baklava sweets but this is not. The 12.5 oz box has a miniature assortment of baklava - each piece is about three times smaller than what you would normally expect. The baklava is supposed to be juicy, with pastry melting in your mouth, and nuts providing a pleasant crunchy contrast - these sweets are not even close: they are stale, dry and nuts are burnt. Terrible quality for such a high price. the only positive part - the packaging is pretty.

Delicious
The quality is amazing. My whole family liked it. It tastes very fresh. I gave it four instead of five stars because I feel the price is a little high. But if you don't mind spending the money, go ahead. It's delicious.
