I ordered mine July 4th and they arrived to the east coast on July 15th.

I live at 7100 ft in the east mountains of New Mexico and i have a mole problem. Will these plants grow here?

You should be able to grow Castor Bean where you live but if it is dry you will have to water them If you have a big yard plant them all over These plants get very big 8 to 12 feet high and the leaves spread out3 to4 foot I f they grow you will like them I'm sure they should grow in sand try a few and use some garden soil also I live in Ohio my dirt is rich black some plants were planted in sand and rich black dirt mix and they grew the same I hope this helps you out.

Can the seeds be used to make castor oil?

I would not recommend trying to make the oil since each part of this plant is considered POISON. It can absorb through your skin when handling any part. Pretty to look at is the greatest feature along with being a mole deterrent.

I live in ne ohio. have a dozen seedlings i started indoors 10 days ago. is it too late to plant them outside this season? it’s fairly warm here now.

You can plant them outdoors but they may not grow as tall. I live in Ohio as well and mine aren't very tall and have been outdoors since the end of May. But I also didn't do much gardening for them, as they are pretty hardy plants and don't require too much to grow.
