Tops Top Knives
I recently been introduced to Tops Knives... AWESOME!!! In the past 2 months I purchased 5! 2 small and 3 larger size. Each one has a different purpose but all share the same qualities.... thick blades, sharp out of the bag, handles fit perfect, fit n finish AWESOME! The linen micarta handles soft to the touch, but same strength as the original micarta handles. Some if these Tops Knives have unique shapes and edges. All for different purpose. The blade made of high carbon steel and coated with a rough texture that appears to preserve the blade. Also a Kydex sheath locks the blade firmly. Cool little whistle comes with every knife ordered. No fancy box included, but ur buying the knife not the box. Get one of these blades while they last!

This knife is a very nice size to carry
This knife is a very nice size to carry. It has a good solid feel to the handle and the finger grove at the front protects your finger from being cut by accident. When carried horizontally I did have it come out of the sheath and onto the floor once. I like the design of the sheath, but It would be nice if the tension was able to be increased to hold more tightly. Ive owned several of the Tops knives and sometimes it is difficult to determine the size of these from a photo. This is similar in size to a Buck Vanguard where the Tops Cochese is 20% larger and the Tops Black Rhino is much larger and much heavier. The Desert Fox is about the same blade length but smaller than this and the handle on this one is much safer. I had to get some stitches when the Desert Fox came out of its sheath a little too easy and I switched from carrying that to this knife, but both have their place. Overall I am very satisfied with this knife and would definitely recommend it. As a hunter I really prefer a knife about this length for deer. Check local laws for legal length to carry, this should work most places.

Very well made
Very well made and it sharpens easily the factory edge wasn't as sharp as I like my knifes to be so just a few strokes with my ceramic rod and I bought a leather strop to hone and polish the edge and it's good to go and I looked up how to care for the handle just rub some mineral oil on it and put the mineral oil on the none painted parts of the blade to keep it from rusting is made from 1095 high carbon steel so the oil will stop the rust and make sure you get food grade mineral oil or mineral oil you can take as a laxative because of your skinning a deer or other food you want to be safe. Update the belt clip is sharp on the edges not like is cuts into you but it is very unpleasant if the clip was thicker and the edges were rounded off it would feel better or they could find a different way of making the belt clip if they did what I did to the sheath it could be worn on the left or right and it can be worn in the scout position left or right also I personally prefer the right handed scout position take a look at the picture (I used Titan paracord) it's not pretty but it is functional

Seriously Impressed. Has a couple of issues
Wanted this for a carry when I hike. Often wet where I hike.Have to say I am seriously impressed with the overall construction of the blade. Will be taking it out for a real test in a couple of months. Till then, it appears to be the best of the bumch I have in this size / style.A definite recommend.Update: after using this for a bit I have cemented this as my EDC when hiking. That said, there are a couple of flaws that come to light with use.Handle: I have slightly larger than average hands and find this handle could really benefit from an extra half inch.Jimping: The placement needs to be a 1/4” farther forward to allow a more comfortable grip and alignment with your index finger placement.Weight: Solid and a bit heavy - noticiable after wearing it for a while.Still it is the best blade for this use in my inventory. I have about a dozen to date and this has now become my go-to hiking blade.

Solid knife, few design flaws
Beautiful knife. built like a Tank. however some unfortunate design flaws that prevent this from getting a 5 star. I must start of by saying that the handle could do with being slightly larger. Also the grove in the steel for the index finger lines up exactly with the jimping, which makes for an awkward grip, since the thumb naturally wants to rest further forwards. You can however choke up on the knife and rest your thumb in the grove halfway down the spine which makes for a slightly more comfortable hold. I do like how there is also jimping at the end of the hilt for the thumb if you choose to hold in a reverse grip. The weight of this knife and its slightly awkward lay in the hand are downsides but on the upside It has rock solid construction and the rotating clip on the kydex sheath is nice. Micarta handle is easy to remove so the blade would double as a nice spear head. Overall a great knife for the money. but not an ideal EDC in my oppinion.

Purpose built a cool
This has become my favorite EDC. It’s not over large but not small. Love the aggressive styling and it’s handle abuse from hunting, carving all the way to every day chores.

Outstanding knife
It came sharp and it has good weight to it. The sheath shape is well designed but the clip is useless for the size of the knife. I took it off and attached 2 webbing strips to belt carry it.

Tough and dependable lil guy
The media could not be loaded. This was my second TOPS purchase as I find myself veering away from my customary cold steel knives and siding more with this brand. First I do enjoy a nice stealthy small fixed blade. The care and craftsmanship that comes with this knife is readily apparent upon the box opening. I only wish the handle was about a good half inch longer and it would be perfect. Still this will find its way into my camping /hiking pack as it does have some very nice bushcrafting capabilities. As far as self defense applications I again would prefer a bit longer of a handle just for the added reach. My fault for not paying as much attention to the specs in that regard. Either way I am keeping it as it is a solid little beast of an outdoor use that will encompass many other uses.
