ECOVACS Deebot N79W App Control Quiet Running Home Robotic Multi Surface Self Charging Vacuum Cleaner with App Control Cleans Hard Floors and Carpets

I have ordered several robot vacs in the past and haven’t been impressed until now. This one has great suction power and battery life. It does a great job of cleaning my 2 story home. I have carpet, rugs and hard wood floors and they are always clean, especially with two large dogs. Another plus is the larger bin size. Great buy for your money.

I just love our Deebot! I have owned an earlier version of Deebot and liked it a lot. I have also had a much more expensive Roomba, and have to honestly say, that I much prefer the Deebot. It has equal or better suction than the Roomba, but is much better at not bumping into things. The only thing missing from this Deebot is mapping, which I don’t really need, because it does such a good job of covering my house every time anyway. Great cleaning and battery life! Highly recommended!

Got this one to replace an older version of this vacuum and it works great! I have a Lab and run the vacuum every night and am surprised at how much hair & dirt the machine picks up. Great vacuum for the money!

This is my third Deebot. They are a good value and work very well. The only flaw is scheduling. I have had 3 different units over the years. They are off by 12 hrs, and on this newer model there's no reset button. The instructions given by Ecovac does not change the internal clock on the unit. The solution was to return the unit, not a good solution being close to Christmas. Taking the battery out and reconnecting might be a solution. Another way if you want to activate the vacuum at 08:00, schedule it for 20:00 on the same day and it will start at 8:00 AM on that morning

We bought the Ecovacs Deebot model N79S in 2018. We like it so much we bought this model N79W in 2022 for another part of the house. The price is so low we can have multiple vacuum robots at a throw away price ... Like all robotic vacuum cleaners, this one will need some low cost consumable replacements, which are widely available, and are interchangeable within the N79 model series. Our older unit needed a new $35 battery after 3 years, which was easy to install ... This unit includes a physical remote controller, but we prefer the free phone app, which controls our two units separately. They can operate simultaneously on demand and/or on separate customizable schedules ... Alexa adds a way to run them with voice commands, but the phone app is just as convenient ... We see no reason to pay a lot more for fancy features because these do just fine for our basic vacuuming needs ... Based on our experience, we expect to not have to replace these units for 5-6 years each.

Second revision: I contacted ECOVACS customer service. They said it’s under warranty for a year, as long as I had proof of purchase. Sent them my Amazon receipt and machine. They sent me back a new vacuum in about a week. Good on you ECOVACS! My original review is below, but I am revising this in April 2023. I bought this in jan 2023. Three and one/half months later, it is malfunctioning and making a tremendous racket. Cleaning the brushes and other parts I can get to doesn’t help. The problem seems to be in the mechanism that turns the brushes. If I remove the brushes, it runs quietly. But the minute the brushes are out back in, the noise begins. I contacted the seller and their response was basically “too bad”. They gave me “tips” on how to clean the vacuum, which is no help. I already do all the things they recommended. But why bother giving me tips on how to clean the thing when it no longer works!!!! I will not buy from this seller again. This is my second Deebot N79. My old one, which is 4.5 yes old, still runs and picks up dirt like crazy, but stayed making a squealing noise that I can’t fix by cleaning or adjusting anything. So, figured it was time for a new one. I have vinyl floors, no room to room carpet, but I do have small throw rugs one one 5x7 area rug. The Deebot does a great job on all of them except the area rug. It does “ok” on the area rug, but the pile is a little too high for the Deebot to do as well as an upright vacuum. I have three dogs, one of which is a shedder, and I run the Deebot nearly every day. I hope this new Deebot works as well and lasts as long as the old one did with daily use! The N79 is one of the least expensive eco vac models, but as good a job ad it does, I don’t see a reason for me to even think about more expensive ones. Plus, both my Deebot are much quieter than the two roombas I had some years ago.

This is my second Deebot and it is perfect for my needs. It keeps ahead of the pet hair as long as I run it daily. It is such a time saver. I can turn it on when I leave and come back to clean floors.

My last Deebot actually lasted almost 5 years with 3 shedding dogs and hard floors. Awesome robo! This model seems like a longer battery life but not as much suction, clogs way easier and is unusually loud. The other issue and I have contacted the company with both vacuums and they won't help me, but on the dirt bin, the pins that hinge the lid come out easily and before you know it, it comes apart and the pins have come out, I'm guessing in the trash while dumping since I've never found one. This one happened within a month on the new vac. Tried to get replacement and told that's not an option. Kinda ridiculous they wouldn't send some to fix given such a small item but important.
