The book is a little on the pricy side but it covers all types of plants and how to properly maintain and propagate them. Highly recommend this book for both beginners and experienced gardening. I've been growing plants for 20 years and this book is one of the best I've purchased by far. I purchased it for my daughter who learns better from reading and pictures than hands on. She absolutely loves this book and it's helped her gain confidence in propagating her orchids. Review: Wish I had found this YEARS AGO! - What a wonderful, informative book. I wish I had found it earlier in my gardening years, it would've saved me so much money, time and disappointment!

Holy grail of plant propagation!
I had been experimenting with basic plant cuttings with varying results and was disappointed by the lack of detailed information available on the internet to figure out where I was going wrong. This book is exactly what I was looking for. There is a primer at the beginning of the book to help you with the techniques followed by plant-by-plant instruction for each method of propagation, complete with visual aides. I learned more in two pages of this book than I did from hopping around from blog to blog, video to video for months. If you are looking for an authoritative guide on plant propagation, save yourself from frustration and pick up this book.

Great, came used
Bought and came used. I looked back at my account and verified it was supposed to be new. It's in okay condition front cover beat up a little. Book has lots of detail. The people that are saying that there is not enough detail.... Did you expect for the book to tell you how to eat too?

Incredible amount of information but....
This book is very well written and contains an amazing amount of information. But for me, the person who just wants to propagate a few plants in the kitchen, it's way overkill. I've gone from being very enthusiastic about trying to grow a few things from cuttings to being convinced that it is beyond my ability to do so. NOT what I wanted in a book. I gave the book five stars because it is a wonderful book. But it isn't the right book for me so I'll be looking for something else.

Make extra money from your garden!
I am trying to make extra money by propogating plants from my garden, and this book is showing me how to do that! Lots of pictures and explanations for nearly every kind of plant you can think of. I'm really learning a ton about plant reproduction and the various ways that you can clone plants, etc.

The book is great. Don't get the kindle edition
The book is absolutely full of information on plant propagation. I plan on buying it again in hard copy format for the color pictures. The kindle edition is blurry and you have to zoom in to read. No taking notes or highlighting.

Comprehensive
A comprehensive text book which covers most aspects of propagation in some detail and for a wide variety of plant types. A useful and interesting read. My only regret is that this edition is not searchable although it does have a well bookmarked table of contents.

Great with a couple errors
Great book, with a lot of technical info. There is alot of repetition, but that's what happens when you have a book listing how-to for different species. I don't entirely trust it though; it is well known that it's a bad idea to propagate apples from seed, because you will very likely not get a true clone. This is not mentioned though, and seed is a recommended propagation method for the malus species. I'm a little bit wary of the recommendations for other species as a result. Excellent guide to the more technical prop methods though. Tons of great pictures.

KINDLE VERSION VERY POOR
This is not a real ebook in the sense you may be used to with most kindle books. It is a scan of the paper version, which, as it is large format is very hard to read on a kindle screen. Functionality is likewise limited.
