Lechuza Canto Stone High 30 Sand Beige, Self-Watering Tall Planter, H22 L11.8 W11.8 in

Really like this planter. It's already kept my Meyer Lemon watered through a vacation that included several 90 degree days. The planter consists of two parts, the inner part is the actual planter, and the outer part is basically a decorative box that holds the planter. At first it is a little intimidating to put together, but the directions are clear and it is easier than it first seems. There's a false bottom that separates the soil from the water reservoir and a corner tube that holds a "bobbin" that shows the water level. This package includes just enough pon (a light gravel-like substance) to cover the bottom. You have to provide your own potting mix.There's a removable drain plug in each part--you remove it if the pot's going to be outside so that excess rain water can drain off.

There's nothing negative I can say about the looks and functionality: The Lechuza design is beautiful in its simplicity and the self watering system is a stroke of a genius. A joy to put it together and get it going. I did read the instruction and watched the video a couple of times to really understand how it works and encourage everybody to do the same. Before ordering. Because it's the operator and not the machine that I messed up my first assembly of the water supplier, even though the instructions with drawings are very clear about this. My planters are outside on my deck, they can be used inside as well. I like to grow edibles. Have peppers in the "balconeras", low growing rosemary and thyme in the "cantos". Annuals and perennials. I am very happy with my purchases and highly recommend the Lechuza.

ordered both the 30 cube and the 30 tall Lechuza planters in both Stone Grey and Black. Liked the design of both but didn't care for the Stone Grey color which does NOT match the photo online. Wishing the 30 cube Black was in stock!!!!!!

I like this pot and it looks like stone. I bought the tall one and the 30 cube size for my front porch. The tall one came with the substrate and the water indicator but the small one did not. I exchanged the small one with amazon and received another 30 cube size 2 days later. Again NO water indicator or substrate. I am so annoyed. For the price, it absolutely should come with the water indicator at least. Substrate you can get at the closest garden center. I was fed up with exchanging, I just bought my own substrate and will just make sure I water often. Bummer!!!

My plant is very happy in the planter and I am very pleased with product

5 months after purchase and it still works. It's plastic but it isn't flimsy. I like the bulb that shows the water level. With this planter it is possible to over-water a plant but it is no longer possible to over-water a plant two or three days in a row like I used to do.

I have purchased other products from them. This one works well. No issues yet. I needed something for my venus fly traps. They seem very happy with this as they get all the distilled water they need. The color is nice and modern.

I’ve tried several brands of self-watering planters... but Lechuza is just the best. Classic example of getting what you pay for. These planters are great.

I have several of these, and use them for both indoor and outdoor plants. They may seem a little expensive, but they're worth it. It really helps to let you know when your plants need support, and you can also periodically feed them during the growing phase using this too. And, of course, letting the plant develop by using the drinking roots and not flooding from the top. Well worth it, my plants are very happy.
