Essential
These are essential for autumn and winter to keep your back dry and free from mud.This is the second one I’ve had as the first was lost during off roading on the mountain bike yesterday, only noticed when I got home.Having fitted this new one, I’ve also added a cable zip tie around the closing mechanism to make sure it doesn’t come off when riding as extra peace of mind.

Keeps me dry
Product arrived within given timeframe, so full marks. Packaging however. - came in a huge box. Was this really necessary ? Hence 1 point reduction.As for the mudguard, unpacked and fitted within ten minutes. Toughest job was adjusting the strap, which if you have fat fingers like me, then may need to use some pliers to pull through the fastening; no big deal. However this is my second purchase of this because the first fell off without me knowing, guess the locking strap burst open during a downhill slide.It is a very robust product - I’ve clipped bushes, fences etc and the plastic flexes without bother - and has two hinges allowing you to adjust it according to fix location and angle of spray protection required.Most importantly, coupled with a shock blade II on 29” wheels have kept the majority of mud and crap from flicking up at myself. The washing machine is thanking me:)
