This was purchased as a Christmas gift. I hope my grandson enjoyed it as they are so into the Fortnite games.

If you want to get into fortnite for the first time, this book might be helpful for you. If you understand how to play fortnite this book holds little value. For the most part the basic information in it is accurate and useful to early players. However, there are a couple questionable things.For example, the author talks about a shotgun being used for medium or long range. However, neither is smart. Practically every shotgun reduces damage the further away a target is from you. In addition, shotguns are not accurate except when they are in your face. Advanced fortniters use shotguns to try to get head shots on players. That is one of the main reasons people build high, so they can jump down and pop you in your head from above. Shotguns are exclusively a short range weapon. If you are just getting started for close range use a Shotgun-SMG combo. You shoot them first with a shotgun. That way you get one good shot with decent damage, even if it is not the head. Then you immediately switch to an SMG to finish them. You switch to an SMG because of how long between shots a shotgun takes. This is helpful when you are not getting headshots every time. Also, when you are fighting in extreme close range jump around the whole time. It makes you harder to hit.Another helpful tip is to go into creative mode and practice building. Make sure you have the building mode on where specific buttons build specific structures (not the default setting). Another setting to play around with is the sensitivity. Slowly increase that one at a time, over a long period of time. Being good at fornite is not just practice, it is also having the right settings, and there are others besides what I just said.

DO NOT BUY. It doesn't tell you ANYTHING useful. Me, a 11 year old, could write a better guide.

Really good book. I bought this for my brother and dad because they are both fortnite crazy. I gave it 4 stars because it was outdated but it still contained good information.
