I bought this Eastman 3/4" Hose Bibb Anti-Siphon Vacuum Breaker to replace an old, spraying valve, and it has exceeded my expectations. Right out of the packaging, you can tell the build quality is solid and durable. Installation was incredibly easy and took less than a minute. The threads are cleanly cut, allowing it to screw onto the outdoor faucet perfectly without any cross-threading. The best part? Absolutely zero leaks. When the water is turned wide open, the seal holds perfectly tight with no annoying drips or spraying from the sides. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, holding up to full water pressure effortlessly while providing great peace of mind for backflow prevention. If you need a reliable, high-quality vacuum breaker that actually seals right the first time, this is the one to get. Highly recommended!

This fit thank goodness. It replaced my striped one. Solid, easy to install and works as it should. Good water pressure. As always, Amazon comes in clutch!

Good quality, works well

Made sounds from it that echoed into the house plumbing. If you shut water off, stand back quickly will get your shoes wet. But overall, worked well. Took it off later mainly because of the sounds.

I bought this to replace my old pressure release spigot and it installed easier than I expected. It looks nice and it is very sturdy. One this to note is the vacuum breaker will mist water out when turning your hose sprayer nozzle off from the on position.

Works great

I bought this hose bib backflow preventer thinking it would quietly do its job. Instead, it has become the most dramatic piece of plumbing hardware I own. From day one, it behaved like it was personally offended by water pressure. It leaks just enough to be annoying but not enough to be obvious, which feels intentional. Installation was technically “easy,” if your definition of easy includes questioning your life choices while crouched next to a spigot. The threads felt like they were designed by someone who has only heard about hoses in theory. It either goes on crooked or not at all—there is no middle ground. Once installed, it produces a constant, faint dripping sound that could easily be mistaken for psychological warfare. Leave it overnight and you’ll wake up wondering if your house is slowly dissolving. Performance-wise, it does prevent backflow, I assume, but at the cost of making your hose setup feel like a budget science experiment. Also, removing it? Forget it. It clamps onto your spigot like it’s trying to claim legal ownership. Overall, if your goal is to add mild frustration and ambient dripping noises to your outdoor space, this product delivers flawlessly.

Our hose was leaking and after installing this replacement part it works perfectly. Fits great and easy to install.

It seems to be doing what it is supposed to do. It does make some funny noises in the house as the water pressure rises and falls, but that might just be my pipes.

At first, I connected one of these to the outside hose connection that goes to dual water filters to remove chlorine. What I noticed is that when we used the cold water in the kitchen sink, it would cause this to pop water out of it, which I guess is by design. The actual problem is that the outside hose pipe is connected directly to the kitchen cold water pipe. So any back pressure there causes the valve to open and close. But this isn't an issue with this one-way valve. When I put the 2nd one at the other end of the house, there was no issue.

For me they let out a loud whine while water was running. I ended up removing them.
