For Christmas I bought all three of my granddaughters necklaces featuring their favorite animals. My eldest granddaughter is 12, and she adores dolphins. This necklace is really nice and it came in a nice display box that was perfect for gift giving.The dolphins are plated with white gold and are staying a nice shiny silver color and have not tarnished. The chain is a little on the thin side, so I wouldn't buy this for a young child for fear it might brake.The stone is pink, which is her birthstone, and it is very sparkly and brilliant. It is set in place with three strong prongs and looks extremely secure. This necklace was a hit and it was also a good value. Would purchase again.

I did not see any markings anywhere on the necklace or charm that showed it was sterling silver or white gold plated. I would say anything that is sterling silver has the # on the necklace to prove it, but this necklace had no markings. That indicates to me that it is not what it said it was in the description, meaning not Sterling silver or white gold plated.

The stone in the middle is quality and sparkles like a blue diamond. The silver is real and quality has held up well. This think just shines and look stunning on her neck. She is beautiful in it! ADORABLE!!!!! This has significant meaning for me. My father served 30 years in the Unites States Navy, he was a submariner. Naval Officers wear the uniform breast pin to indicate that they are qualified in submarines, to earn the right to wear "fish", prospective submariners complete an extensive qualification process that lasts about one year. I was so proud of my dad. I lost him several years ago and when I saw this I HAD to have it. I got the yellow stone as that is my November birthstone color. I will wear this a lot and I will always have my father close to my heart. It is one stunning and very well made necklace.
