I think it’s definitely better to wax your arms and legs with this product than paying some professional to do it for you. It’s way cheaper and it’s easy to clean up. I think the wax really does its work and it somehow makes my skin smoother. However, this was my first time, and I would like to share some advise for the first timers: I waxed from my lower legs, upper legs (thighs), underarms, to arms on the same day. I didn’t know I was bruising myself the moment I was doing it. So it’d probably be the best if you just pick ONE BODY PART to practice first and give it a few minutes to see the result. The hairiest parts of my body were my lower legs (calves) and underarms. I found it the easiest to wax my THIGHS first. It didn’t hurt at all and didn’t get bruised. I got frustrated when I was waxing my calves and the back of my upper arms, so I was REPEATEDLY waxing those parts and didn’t realize that I was also PULLING the skins. They came out all bruised. So I would say be gentle to your skins, and don’t wax the same spot too many times. Well, I still haven’t figured out the underarms yet. It freaging hurt and half of the hair was still there… Overall, I would keep buying this product👍🏼 (Above post from May, 2022) New update (Oct 2023): It’s been more than a year and I’m still using this product!! I found that it’s important to make sure that you’re waxing in a space that’s cool enough. For underarms, I use a small amount of wax, apply the wax to the area with only one stroke - don’t lift up the flicker and reapply the wax at all. Press the flicker towards your skin as hard as you can, then flick it off your skin. And make sure the wax doesn’t get too warm when you reuse it, or it’ll start getting extremely sticky!

Cons: this stuff barely removes hair! It immediately turns soft and goopy upon it touching my skin! Maybe my skin is too hot. Maybe my environment is too hot. Maybe this is only a problem cold people who live in the cold can use. I'm not sure, but even when I tried leaving it in the fridge or using it in front of a fan, it was always sticky, as if all I did was rub honey on my body. Pros: had a little nibble, as a treat - it's tasty and didn't k*ll me so I guess this company has that going for them...

TL;DR: product okay. Level of ease to use is 3-4/5. Value is 2-3/5. (Full Review below) Picture with cotton swab for scale. **Note, the container is double-walled = less space for sugar wax. I try to buy/use zero waste/eco friendly as much as possible - while still being economical. This product was very promising- as an easy-to-use home wax kit, with the potential to to save money and thwart hair growth. My advice is to read the instructions but also check out some online user videos. The skill is not complicated; however, holding the card makes my hand hurt after a while. Make sure you use a pre and post skin conditioner- to prevent strawberry rash. The product warms up really fast and becomes gooey and unusual - so make sure you’re not just getting out of a hot shower and use this in a cool room only (bathroom is too humid). Use smaller amounts and if you get too icky it does rinse off really easily. You’ll have to keep the skin taught and work on the skin-flick with the card and most likely will need to rinse the card often. I have very blonde hair so others can’t really tell but this does not get skin smooth. On advice from an aesthetician I was told that others often run a razor over their waxed body parts after sugaring (for a skin-smooth result). This is not what I intended as I’m trying to eliminate the need for razors - and their garbage. I will also say that the product is much smaller than I anticipated and the boasted “3x per leg” is not realistic. I did my legs almost one full leg each and one lost leg each- and for $20+/container that’s not the cost savings I was hoping for. I’ll probably give it another shot but will be looking for alternatives.

I’m only giving four stars because the videos show it working when a trained person uses it. In fact, I think this should only be advertised to people whose profession involves using it. It’s extremely difficult to use on yourself. It took the hair off but only the top, it didn’t pull from the root. After I was done with my legs, I could see a bunch of tiny dark spots. Those were the pieces of hair it left under the skin. It also caused a ton of ingrown hairs. It’s impossible to use on your under arms as well. The angle and special technique needed mean that it’s best if you let someone else do it. It’s also finicky to temperature. I’d suggest not pressing the wick so firmly into your skin, otherwise your body heat causes it to become a big goopy mess that’s really hard to take off. To take it off with water requires a lot of running, it won’t come of just by you letting the water run on it. For this reason, I’m concerned that after rinsing it down the drain, it’ll harden again at some point in the pipes and that water flowing through the pipes won’t be enough to push it all the way through. So I’ve been wiping it off with a wet paper towel.

I’ve seen a lot of the reviews saying that this product is a waste of money, that it’s a sticky mess that doesn’t remove the hair, etc. You have to prep your skin! I go to get professionally sugar waxed and the technician ALWAYS preps my skin with baby powder. Once I got this in the mail, I tested two spots. One with baby powder, one without. After two applications, the side with no baby powder was incredibly hard to work with and wouldn’t come off my leg. I ended up having to wash it off. The side with the baby powder had no issue and I could do an entire portion of my leg before getting a new piece of wax. You may have to reapply baby powder in spots but that’s normal. This is a great product and takes practice but it’s very effective and worth the money. My wax appointment for legs, Brazilian, and under arms is $200. I can do my whole body TWICE with just one jar of this. Highly recommend if you have the patience to learn how to use it properly.

Trying to get this to work has been extremely frustrating. It’s too sticky and does not peel off like in the videos. Even after putting in the fridge for days it still does not work and feels too sticky. I end up having to wash the flicker and my leg or armpit after every single try, even though you are supposed to be able to use the same sugar more than once. It left bruising on my ankle after the test patch. It took 20 minutes of not giving up to get it to half work on my armpit, but again had to continually wash and dry everything and start over and over. It removed about 75% of my armpit hair under one arm and I finally gave up. Shaving my other arm pit was fast easy and felt like a huge relief after wasting so much time trying to sugar the other one. Then I noticed the hair removal lasted a long time compared to my shaved armpit. This gave me hope to try again. Again, ended up frustrated and angry at how sticky it is and just does not work. I’ll be buying a laser hair removal tool. I was really hoping this would be a cheaper better option, but it’s way too much trouble for barely any reward.

Great for waxing thick hair (like black hair on legs). I don’t think it works with thin hair as much but it’s great stuff! I love this product. Just make sure you do not over wax spots on your body!!! It will take a while to heal (I mean just don’t keep waxing one spot because you think all the hair isn’t gone. Get tweezers!). And it’s messy but warm water cleans it up. Great stuff. Also, doesn’t seem to attract bugs (it’s called sugar wax so that’s a legitimate concern, but it doesn’t even attract bugs when it’s outside.. so.. I don’t know).

Terrible. One of, if not, the worst hair removal product I’ve used in years. I’ve used all types of wax on myself and have waxed others. I’ve made my own sugar before, but never felt like I got it 100% right, so I purchased this product to give sugaring another try (over hard wax). It’s awful. It’s messy. It falls apart on the applicator. It leaves residue. The passes are a joke, they’re WAY smaller than they should be, and they remove nothing to almost nothing. It removed none of my leg hair and BARELY any of my arm hair. No way was I doing anywhere else. In my experience, sugaring should be fairly painless and this was one of the roughest sugars I’ve ever used. This was my sign to go back to hard wax only. It ACTUALLY works.

This product arrived on time, but it doesn't work well at all. I have taken waxing training, and wanted to give this a try. I followed the directions exactly, as they are a bit different from waxing, but it hardly removed any hair! I made attempts on several occasions without much success. Would NOT recommend.
