I bought these to hang family photos on the wall. Unfortunately the hook on the back is very weak and isn’t even glued on or nailed in. It slipped off as I was moving the back to put my photo in. The back of the frame does not insert into any kind of slot in the wood, but instead, the photo and back of the frame are held on by tiny little closures that I had to loosen to get my mounted photo in, and tighten to get them to stay in. This is disappointing because I can’t hang them on the wall now, since there is a significant gap in the back And as I mentioned, the hook isn’t glued or nailed into the frame but is basically a “clip on” that goes on the backing. I do have a place to put them, so it’s okay for me, but if you are looking to 100% hang these on a wall, you will be very disappointed with the hook (although it might have been ok if there was a groove the back could slide up into at the top). You might try to hang them on the wall but to do so you will probably have to put a hanger in the wood of the frame. I think because it has a stand in the back, it is not ever going to hang nicely on the wall. I thought putting soft backs on the corners would make it ok, but now that it’s here and I see how much the back sticks out....that wouldn’t work even if the frame had a decent hook. Overall, a very pretty frame, kind of rustic but not old looking, looks like decent quality but is actually not very great, and probably should not be wall mounted. Has some impressions from hardware on backing that may damage art or photos if nothing is between them (pictured).

UPDATE: So glad I reordered the white frames. The replacements came in great condition; the corners were put together nicely and the distressing was done nicely. Still not a fan of the hangers but for the price and the fact that I wanted the gold "distressed" look I do like them.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased two sets of frames, one in eggshell blue and one in white. I really like the eggshell blue! All the corners match up/come together nicely, the gold "distressing" is placed well, and the back closed nicely. They were nicely packaged and were not damaged. There was a lot of discussion about the blue color so I attached an up-close photo. The prop is sturdy and does not tilt the picture back too far. There's also a hanger that is removable/movable so you can hang from either direction. Here's my issue with the hanger though, and the reason for 4 stars. The hanger is not very substantial and I found it difficult to get the pictures to hang straight. Also the prop is so thick it was bringing the picture out far from the wall. I didn't want to cut the prop off in case I decided to use them differently down the road. I ended up finding the best way to hang them was to put the back on upside down so the bottom of the prop is at the top of the frame; it seemed to help them be tighter to the wall and made easier to get them straight.Now the white frames were a different story. I ordered Amazon's used product; it was reported that the only issue was that it would not come in original packaging but that the product itself was not damaged. This was not the case. The corners did not match up correctly so although they looked okay at a glance there was actually a gap at the mitered corners on both frames to the point light easily came through. Also the gold distressing wasn't as nicely done on the white frames I received. So I'm taking a chance in returning the used product and purchasing the same frames new to see if another package will be better made as I have four pictures to put together and wanted the frames to be the same style but the two different colors to mix it up some. I will update my review after I receive them.

These frames are beautiful, and a good value for the money, except for one important thing. I ordered several of the 11" x 14" frames for a project I was doing. They are very attractive for the money. However, the metal that comes with them to hang them on the wall SUCKS. It would be sufficient for a small, lightweight frame, like a 5" x 7", but not a heavier frame. I was hanging several 11" x 14" frames, which are heavier, and the little piece of metal is nowhere near close enough to hold the weight of a larger frame. They bend and the frame falls right off the wall. I'm lucky I caught the frame and the glass didn't break. This is manufacturing 101.....how does quality control miss something like this?? So now I either have to pound in some sawtooth hangers into the back of the wood frame, which I really don't want to do, or I have to order Alien Tape, which costs another $20+ in order to hang all these frames. I'm highly annoyed that I can't finish my project today now because these products didn't come with appropriate hardware.

These frames are beautiful. Like a light blueish mint green with gold strokes of paint over them. Very nice quality...

They look great and would be fine to display on a table but the hanger was useless and it fell and broke immediately.

I worried that these frames might look cheap but boy was I wrong! They are great! They were well packaged so no damages. Glass is clear with no cracks or scratches. The kick stand is sturdy and well made. The hardware is already attached for hanging. The paint is "distressed" which is what I wanted but it looks more gold than wood color showing through the white. But for a 50th anniversary party it's perfect! Very happy and definitely recommend.

I am sad to write this review, but I gave the frames 2 chances and I have been disappointed again. I love the color and overall appearance of the frames, but the glass is extremely flimsy. The first time I ordered these, glass of a frame broke in half while I was simply cleaning it with glass cleaner and paper towels before using for the first time. I finally got around to putting new photos in the second box of frames I ordered and one of the glass pieces is already chipped right in the middle. I haven't even hung it yet. Super bummed!!

We wanted some rustic looking, almost white frames to put pictures of loved ones who have passed for our fireplace. These are perfect for what we wanted and are great quality for the price. We love them so much, we even took the frames with our departed mothers pictures with us when we took wildflower pictures... Very happy with purchase!
