Great for kids
At this nice price, I've purchased these a few times now for my kids. They are great because they are so lightweight, yet still are pretty bright. They love the glowing function too. They take them on nightwalks, camping, etc. They get lost, dismantled, etc, and I don't mind because they're pretty cheap.I love the long battery life.I wish they would make a version without the flashing functions. It's annoying to have to press the button multiple times just to turn off the light. We never use the flasher.

A Great Party Favor for Our Backyard Sleepover!
I purchased these for my son's "Backyard Sleepover" birthday party. I didn't expect high quality and browsed around for quite awhile to find flashlights that would work. I was really pleased with these. They were a decent size compared to what I expected. They all light up in the handle their various color and even have a few different alternating settings. Two of them did not work upon arrival, but I anticipated that that might happen and so I ordered extra. It was a great favor that the boys loved. They enjoyed playing tag after dark with the lights and it was a lot of fun. I recommend!

Cute and they work well for a while. The batteries run out fairly soon and are a bear to replace. They are specialty batteries, as for a watch. Inserting them isn't the easiest thing to do. These flashlights would be so much better with an AA battery.

Battery Recycling Program no longer supported by Life + Gear.
These flashlights have a strong plus going for them in that they are very light weight and great for seeing and being seen walking at night. However the "free replacement batteries" cost $4.99 (for one set of 3 AG-13s which is what one flashlight requires).AND be advised, the battery-recycling-by-mail program that they tout on the packaging and on their website--is over, done with, no more! When I received my rather expensive free batteries without a free mailer to return the old ones, I inquired. Here's what I was told by e-mail:Hello Kent,Thank you for contacting Life + Gear Inc. With so many local recycling locations available to you, Life + Gear no longer support’s the “Battery Recycle Program”.We apologize for any inconvenience.Regards, Emilia Serrano, Life + Gear Inc., Customer Service Dept.I considered asking her why the packaging and their web site still advertise the battery recycle program--but thought better of it, given the "answer" they just provided. Instead, I'll just warn others.

not all that good compared to all the other LED lights that are out there
I ordered 3 flashlights at various price points in order to compare. I will be keeping all of them, but was curious to see how each performed. Those were:Life Gear 4 in 1 MINI Glow LED Flashlight with Storage (The item featured here)OxyLED MD30 3-in-1 Multi-FunctionLE Adjustable Focus CREE LED Flashlight, Super Bright, Batteries IncludedThe life gear 4 in 1 was the poorest of the bunch. It's light weight was nice (but they were all relatively light) and the flashing base is nice on evening walks after dark. The spot light, however, was very weak and barely enough to use in a darkened room. Seemed flimsy compared to the others and I will only use this as an indoor/workshop flashlight as it does not feel sturdy enough or is it bright enough for emergency roadside use.The OxyLed was the largest of the three and very bright. The side lights did a very good job of illuminating an entire basement area. The spot light was bright and clear. The red flashing sidelights are a nice feature as well if you are in a disabled vehicle or just walking down the road at night. This is an excellent flashlight with some nice features. Price is a bit high, but so far quality appears to be very good. The LE Adjustable focus was small, but very bright. It was also less than half the price of the OxyLed. The beam on this flashlight is also a bit brighter than the OxyLed and comes with 3 AAA batteries. Overall feels sturdy and easy to hold.If I had to choose one of the three I'd probably go with the CREE LED as it was compact and had the brightest spot of the bunch. If you need side led lights to illuminate a room or for flashing, then go with the excellent, but more expensive OxyLED. I'm keeping them all as you can never have enough flashlights, but the OxyLed and the Cree will be going in my vehicles as they are better for emergency situations where you might be on the road and need a durable flashlight with a strong light.

Great tough little flashlights
We gave these to our kids in their stockings for Christmas. They love them. The glowing colored light that can also strobe in the handle is fantastic. And these things are TOUGH. my kids drop them, throw them, step on them, etc and they keep on going. I am happy too because then they don't need to always be borrowing my expensive flashlights. These are great for the car, for reading in bed, for nightlights, for camping, etc etc. Great product.

Toss up between 3 and 4 stars...update............4 stars
Strictly as a flashlight it is fair (3 stars) at best. Maybe 5-8 lumens and for it`s size that is not a lot. Kind of a concentrated but somewhat weak beam, all the key chain flashlights I own are as bright/much brighter. Very little peripheral light. In total darkness it would pass. With any ambient light, you wouldn`t know it was on. One nice feature is the auto off. Shuts off after an hour if you leave it on and walk away. Flasher and glow mode are nice. Good for camping / night fishing but I wouldn`t rely on it as my main light (flashlight mode) Waterproof and it does float with room for some storage inside (decently good back-up). Overall not bad. If this thing had a better flashlight (say 20 or more lumens) I would consider using it as a primary light in the camping / night fishing outings. Home use, would work pretty well in a power outage / minor emergency situation.%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%Update, 4 stars. Replaced the batteries it came with. Still not a strong flashlight, but better. Probably less than 15 lumens. I do carry it occasionally as a backup for evenings in the woods/night fishing etc. Real lightweight, small and the "glow mode" is just enough light as a very limited area light to go through the tackle box etc. I am glad I bought it.

Lampara de Emergencia
Simplemente geniales, por su tamaño y por el brillo de sus colores. Ahora van siempre en la caja de herramientas de auto cuando salgo a carretera y en las cosas de campismo cuando corresponde.
