Good lights. Would buy again.
Very nice lights.Pros:1. Attractive housing. Made out of metal2. Light lasts all night on a full charge.3. Long cord for connecting solar panel to light, which allow placement of the panel in an optimal location.Cons:1. The base plate of the light where the cord comes out doesn't have a hole for the cord. So when you mount it, how should the cord be routed? I ended up drilling a hole in the bottom of the plate and slipping the cord through.BE ADVISED: When you hook up the solar panel cord to the light cord using the wiring harness, be sure that the little notch in the harness lines up. I accidentally connected it backward, and the light would either not turn on or stay on all the time and not turn off ..... until I learned my mistake. I then hooked it up correctly, and it works fine. The seller is good. I accidentally broke the glass dome. I emailed them and asked if they sell replacement domes. They responded within hours. Yes, they sell replacement domes. The light is bright. As I saw in another review, if you look directly at the LEDs, they're pretty bright. I tried to mount the lights where the LEDs aren't in the line of sight.

Excellent quality solar lamp
This is a well-made lamp and works better than I expected. Light lasts all night and is much brighter than many other solar-powered lights I've experienced, although it's still solar, so more for ambiance than function - you can just about read a book at night by this light if sitting directly underneath. The frame and glass shade are attractive and balance out the rather high-tech looking LED array. Glass shade is actually clear glass with air bubble features and not a 'white' shade as it appears in the Amazon photo, so you can see the six individual LED sources clearly. Mounting is straightforward and included hardware is good quality. The electric wire between the solar panel and the light has a push-together socket joint which allows flexibility during install and feels sturdy enough. I would have liked there to be a cut-out in the frame for the wire to pass through, but overall I think this lamp is excellent, if a little expensive. I'm considering getting the motion-detector version next but I'll see how well this one holds up over winter.

One mounting issue
I purchased 2 of these lamps last year and they’ve both worked every single day so far. In the winter when there’s less sun, the lights stay on at night for about an hour or so after midnite. In the summer months, they stay on until dawn. There was no cut-out on the mount for the cord that attaches to the solar panel but I read a review here that told how the writer used tin snips to make one. I used their idea and my mount went up in less than 15 minutes. I mounted one on my shed and another on my pergola. The light is soft, but full, and doesn’t bother my neighbors when they sit out on their patio at night. These have performed so well that I have decided to add one more to the side of my house. On many of the reviews written here, the buyers were disappointed with their purchase. I was not.

Would buy it again!
Love this light! It was easy to install and worked since day one. I do with there was a longer cord between the light and the solar panel - just to be able to optimize the sun exposure. My light is underneath a small overhang so its not really exposed to the elements and I don't have water seeping in or anything like that. There was a definite difference of how long the light stayed on in the winter vs. the summer, but even in winter it stayed on long enough. It is very bright and really illuminates the area we need it to. I don't know what the difference is, but I just did not have some of the negative experiences some people had with theirs. I've had it up and working for a little less than a year now.

PICK THE PERFECT SPOT
This was my second purchase of this light. I had ordered the first one 5 years ago from Improvements catalog which is now defunct and items can be purchased on Amazon. The perfect spot for me was at the back door. The mistake I made was not making sure I bought the one with the motion detector. This one just comes on and stays on all of the time. The previous one would have a low light but when the motion detector came on it brightened. They only last about 5 years so when I replace this one I will be sure to get the right one. Well worth the money.

Don't buy these.
I bought two of these two years ago and they worked so well I bought three more. Two of those three worked a couple of days and quit working. Since I didn't put them up right away the return window had closed. So thinking the battery was bad I bought new batteries. Again it worked for two or three days and quit. Guess I'm out a lot of money.

4 - 5 HOUR LIGHT
I liked the style, when on very nice, made well, BUT only stays on for about 4 to 5 hours. Solar panel is in full sunlight, but does not work as advertised.
