fantastic read. brilliantly written.
Loved this book from start to finish. Will be reading again and highly recommend. Flows naturally and is a great guide in how to deal with many difficulties in life. Makes me eager to learn more about it all and venture further into stoicism.

Fabulous Books
I think I have read most of Ryan's books and have watched lots of his YouTube videos. He writes in a way that is easy to understand, which then makes it easy to apply to your own life.

Good book well worth reading , but for it to be really worth the outlay you must follow the advice contained , not just read it and file it away.

Excellent read
This is the second book I have read by Ryan Holiday. I find his style of writing both easy to follow and very engaging. He makes what can 'be perceived as a dull topic come alive with his insight and humour.

A Classic
I already owned a digital version of this book which Iโve read several times, but when I saw the Anniversary hardback edition I knew I had to have it. The amount of value Iโve gotten from this book (and all of Ryanโs work) is astounding.

Nice explanation of stoicism
Good examples of stoicism throughout history but shallow wisdom of a Western atheist mind. Stoicism is morally neutral and without God one could easily come to opposing, devil like conclusions and actions.

Great book
Best for philosophy lovers

Deep wisdom
This easy reading book brings up real wisdom. It's ancient knowledge that our Western society seems to have forgotten.

Everyone should read this book...
Guidance on thriving regardless of what's going on. This book is going to be a must give to anyone I know. I like to buy books and give them out when I believe there's an essential message that can make life better for everyone and anyon. This book is one of them. Easy to read. Not preachy. Practical and well written. This book is like an operating system for a human being in the world. It expresses ideas clearly and guides the individual easily to bettering their experience. The world isn't fair. Life can be overwhelming. Living can be a struggle. This book doesn't sugarcoat reality but it offers tools that help navigate reality. Yes there are other books on stoicism, but this book is so easy to read, never boring, and clarifies the message for practical and immediate application for everyone and anyone. Will it change your experience of life? Maybe. Can you change your experience of life? Absolutely.
