Receiver (no antennas attached) is not great but it worked when the remote was right up to it. Transmitter works great. Review: Missing components, Incorrectly assembled, does not work. - The transmitter functions well, but is missing one coil. The receiver does not work at all. The output state of the receiver is never stable, and doesn't respond to any signal from the transmitter. The receiver is also missing a resistor, and there is no glue on the coil, indicating this module was never tuned at the factory. Don't waste your time, try a different type of wireless module.

Works great for RF remote sniffing
I got this to decode signal from an rf remote and then send it out for automation purposes. Receiver (no antennas attached) is not great but it worked when the remote was right up to it. Transmitter works great.

Missing components, Incorrectly assembled, does not work.
The transmitter functions well, but is missing one coil. The receiver does not work at all. The output state of the receiver is never stable, and doesn't respond to any signal from the transmitter. The transmitter generates RF, the receiver receives rubbish. Save your money, look elsewhere
The transmitter does work, checked it with a frequency counter and it's pretty close to 315 MHz. The receiver however, occasionally responded to the transmitter but mostly just output digital rubbish. I tried tuning it as others have and could sort of peak the signal but the digital rubbish never went away. BTW, no info on transmitter voltage required, mine had no RF output below 7 VDC so forget running it on 5 Volts.

receiver is trash, transmitter is good
both receivers are worthless, transmitter works great.

Great product, just one "issue".
So far so good! They communicate pretty effectively at a decent distance. Only issue I had was with getting the right frequency for the receiver. It wasn't calibrated at the factory. To those that are struggling: hook the pair up to some Arduinos and have one constantly transmit a signal, on the receiving end, just continually scan for that signal and slowly turn the frequency knob until you pick it up. Best wishes! Stay creative.

Added functionality for your Arduino projects.
This item required me to tune it in order for it to work. TX pin 12 on the nano and RX pin 11 on nano. I also couldn't get it to work unless I soldered on an antenna on each module.

Complete JUNK!!! Missing components!!! Solder splatter shorting other components!!!
Had to order 2 of these, because the first one never arrived. The second one was DOA. The receiver board is missing SMCs and the 2 Ohm resistor shown in the picture is missing as well. There are solder splatters all over the board that look like they are shorting out several components. I have now lost a week's worth of work on my project because of this zero-quality-control garbage!!! Why does Amazon allow them to get away with selling this crap? I really hope this piece of junk didn't damage my new Raspberry Pi 4!!!

Ok for experienced people but beginners look elsewhere
Got it to work but doesn't have clear documentation
