Kohler GM62346-SKP1-QS Maintenance Kit For 12/14 Kw Residential Generators

Good package and convenient. Everything I need for the annual tuneup. A bit pricy at $64, but still much cheaper than hiring a company to do it for $250. I would prefer to have options on what to buy because I really don't need to replace the air filter every year. But like everything else, if I start buying separate, the total cost will exceed this package cost.

I've always had my generator professionally serviced but decided to do it myself. This was my first attempt, and it was very easy. Kit comes with everything you need and very clear instructions. Even the gap on the plugs was spot on out of the kit.

I was searching for maintenance kits for my home generator and was fortunate enough to find this product here. I like that it had everything I needed to do my yearly maintenance. I'll be buying this again.

The price is a bit steep, but knowing that all the parts supplied are the correct one for my generator seems worth it. Particularly when one considers the cost of the dealer doing the same thing. I'll be ordering the same kit next year since I don't think it's worth while trying to determine the correct oil filter to purchase separately. Oil and spark plugs are easy to find, but I think the wrong oil filter could cause serious problems. I figure I'm paying about $20 to $30 more than if I bought everything separately. Not a big deal.

Great value

Just need a spark plug socket and socket driver, plus oil filter wrench. A torque wrench should be used to tighten the new spark plugs to the correct torque. Kit contains spark plugs, oil and air filters, plus two quarts of oil, everything you need to do the annual maintenance on the 12 and 14 KW Kohler generators. I've been using these kits for 10 years and have had no trouble with my generator.

I priced out better aftermarket parts for about half the price of this kit but I needed to do maintenace right away and couldn't wait the extra week or 2 it would have taken to buy the parts individually. I would recommend using NGK spark plugs instead of the high prone to failure champion spark plugs that come in this kit, the correct NGK spark plugs to get if interested are 33BKR5E - fits Kohler res14
