Red Hood and the Outlaws Vol. 2: The Starfire (The New 52)

I LOVE THE NEW 52 VERSION OF THE RED HOOD AND ARSENAL, THEY ARE GREAT AND AS A TEAM EVEN GREATER AS SOON AS YOU ADD STARFIRE AND THE TEAM RULES. I LIKE THE SMALL TEAM DYNAMIC, BUT I WISH WE COULD GET 2 MORE TEAM MEMBERS (lIKE RED HOOD AND ARSENAL, WHO RELY ON THERE TRAINING), LIKE HAWK AND DOVE, OR A RE-BOOTED FLAMEBIRD OR SPOILER. NO BIG GUNS, BUT MORE OF A SPECIAL FORCES STYLE TEAM. I THINK IT WOULD BE AWESOME AND BASICALLY STARFIRE WOULD BE THE ARTILLARY, WHEN THEY NEED A HEAVY HITTER TO BAT CLEAN UP.THIS IS STILL AN AWESOME, SPECTACULAR, OUTSTANDING BOOK AND TEAM. I JUST LOVE THE DYNAMIC OF THIS TEAM.

Very entertaining run. If you like red hood anti hero rather than vigilante this is for you. The art is excellent as well.

I've been keeping up with the series because I really appreciate the characters, but the writing throughout the series does not disappoint to say the least. Just from the level of detail and thought alone being put into these books is worth checking out. Really easy, enjoyable, and fun read. It was thorough and throughout but entertaining. You more likely than not will enjoy reading this book. It's fun, it's action packed, and it's funny but it's not afraid to explore deeper themes throughout the book. A very solid read, i would recommend this to anyone who's interested in these characters, or is simply looking for a solid but enjoyable read. I have little to no issue with this book if I have any at all. It was as great as others in the series but that's not necessarily a detriment to the book nonetheless. It's a great continuation to a great series,(it might even be a set up from the previous imo) and I can't see this being a disappointment to many people. If you enjoy these characters, or if you appreciate a good solid and fun read then you'll appreciate the book. Really looking forward to what this writer has for us next, certainly someone to look out for. As well as the artist who elevated the book all the much more.

This book is among the best 'b-grade' series within DC's 'New 52' Universe, mostly because it fits my personality: an outcast, you might say, but these three heroes take on missions that Batman and Superman themselves might deem odd. This one was even better than the first in my opinion. This volume of The Red Hood was just ACTION packed!!! I couldn't stop reading this one until I was finished!! This is a great read!! This is a perfect addition to my DC comic collection

This particular compilation is a step down from the first edition. Kenneth Rocafort's art in the first couple of "issues" is great as always. The book finishes with decent art. The artwork isn't quite enough to make up for an average story. I should have paid more attention to how the book wrapped up. As always, the main problem with graphic novels translated to Kindle is that two-page spreads are impossible to read. This book is no exception. In conclusion, the story is average. The art starts strong, limps to the finish line.

Die Geschichte ist locker und lässig geschrieben und Jason erhält eine Chance sich als sympathischen Outlaw zu etablieren.Es tauchen alte Bekannte auf - z.B. Superman - die ein bißchen ihr Fett abbekommen, was jenen ganz gut gefallen sollte,die nicht unbedingt Supie-Fans sind. Den 2.Teiler kann ich nur empfehlen!

Not fascinating or in depth but funny and interesting. Enjoyable characters. I don't get what all the hate for the series is about, it's not going to win awards but it's enjoyable.

When I hear people complaining about the new 52, I agree in the case of Superman, but it's not the case for Red Hood. With Jonah Hex and Batgirl, it's one of the best series. Yeah there's this controversy with Starfire, but the character is a controversy since many years. My girlfriend is a stubborn feminist and she likes Starfire the way she is. I'm not saying every book should be like this one. I'm just saying that that this book succeeds at being what it is and that makes it a good story. For now, the second volume is the best one.

The first volume of this series was a pleasant surprise, possibly the most fun of all the new 52 titles and this volume is a good continuation of the series that fixes the few quibbles with the first and also add a bit more flesh to the characters.The outlaws Jason Todd, Roy Harper and Koriand'r (or Red Hood, Arsenal and Starfire if you prefer) not so much a team as an accident waiting to happen, only really together because no one else will have them.In this volume we have a 2 part night of the owls crossover, basically more backstory for Jason with a fight with a Batman villain and a Talon and some bat family cameos, this is a great case study in Jason Todd and without going in to spoilers it gives insight into his relationship and feelings towards the bat family while still supplying action, next up is a four part story centring around Starfire's home planet and an invasion by the Blight, once again this is really a window into Kori's past and also her relationship with Roy and her sister it does this while once again keeping the action and humour coming at you but does all this with great balance, the final part is really a set up for the future stories but with on real big cameo appearance that came as a little bit of a shock, added to this you get 2 back up stories featured the character Essence who appeared in volume one, there is a good amount going on here.A great second volume, the only problem really is we need some more information on Arsenal still after 2 volumes we still don't know enough about the new 52 Roy Harper that aside this is easily the equal of the first but without the rampant libido.
