A wonderful book to teach you about the mechanics of the English language and anything you feel could be missing in research papers.

I like this book a lot. It was one of the recommendations to my English class. They provide online access to exercises that can help a lot if you take them seriously. The only issue I would say about The Bedford Handbook is that sometimes the reading doesn't follow a patter because we are always recommended to go back to different pages. Ex. let's say you are reading p. 250 and they say 'p. 145 has more details'. I mean, it is ok, but I would rather the book has followed a sequence. Anyways, I recommend the book!

This book came to me highly recommended by a professor who holds two Ph.D.s. He swears by it and wouldn't use anything else! Diane Hacker is so thorough in her explanations and examples so much so that I wonder how I ever got through my English classes without the use of her texbooks!

Very expensive, but also none better for writing papers, reading and note taking efficiently, etc. I can't get the e-links to work, I believe they are a relic from the paper text. It's great to have the kindle version. I've always wanted the Bedford, and now it''s mine! Mua haha!

Best price for high school textbooks and required material. Amazon has the best prices on new textbooks for high school students. The Bedford Handbook is much smaller than textbook size and looks more like a thick handheld novel. This came with other required reading material and was packaged in a book box without damage.

For me this book was a requirement for a class, so I didn't have much choice but to buy it. Other then this the book is alright, it helps with grammar. However it doesn't really follow the sequence, for exercises.

Love the book - hope I will love the course :)
