Everything you could want!
I didn't know how to use a scroll saw when I made this purchase, but I wanted to get the finished results of a scroll saw project. I did some research and purchased this machine because it had great reviews and was a reasonable price. This is, quite literally, one of the best purchases I have ever made. For months now I have spent weekends using the saw and producing projects that I love. I have had to learn about blades in order to use the machine, but that's it. It's so easy to use and super fun! Some opinions about other reviews:Vibration: I understand what people are saying about vibration, however, there are holes in the machine to screw it down to a work bench or mobile scroll saw stand if necessary. That being said, I only use mine at medium speed and there is no vibration at all. Additionally, there is a moveable arm right next to the blade of the unit that allows adjustments for the height of the wood. Keeping this flush against your product is very helpful for stability.Light: I agree, the light isn't very helpful. If it was mounted in a way so it could swing to the left or right side and if it was a bit longer it would be awesome!!! Sadly, it's not the case and I don't use it.Blower/vacuum tube: Yeah, I am not sure if mine came bent or if that's how it is supposed to look, regardless, it's also a pointless attachment.ShopVac hookup: Works great! Honestly though, unless you are working in a completely clean environment or cutting MDF (or other heavy sawdust wood) It's not needed. Just tip the machine forward when you finish your project and clean up saw dust from there.Blade type: Pin and pinless can be used with this machine. Both work great!I love this thing. I would say buy it if you are at all thinking about it and enjoy! You will have to have some patience at the beginning to learn how to cut straight, but it is pretty much a sewing machine that cuts wood. Just take your time, dedicate yourself and soon you too can be a scroll saw pro. Enjoy!!!

Good saw for beginner
I'm working with small pieces about the size of a quarter. The blade stays tight but the foot clamp loosens with vibration. Needs frequent re-tightening. The blades included were of so-so quality. The pinned blades are easy to replace. Will purchase better quality blades going forward. I use this for about 80% of my cuts and take tiny areas out with a rotary cutting tool. This saw is far better, quicker and cleaner than my coping saw. Happy with purchase.

Nice little saw with a few overlooked details
Wanted to get a scroll saw for doing curve detail woodworking, and this appeared to have all the features I needed. Tested it out and everything appears straight forward - powers up, cuts wood - although just using included blade it struggled a bit with select-grade 1x pine material. That's a solid pine but suspect something like oak might be a slower process. I'll be purchasing my own blades so hopefully that will alleviate any further issues. Two issues I encountered, the latch on the small blade compartment on the side broke off first time I opened it. I needed the tool for an immediate project so decided I could live with or without it, but I called Wen, explained the problem, and they immediately place an order for a replacement under warranty. Can't ask for anything more than that! Second, I want the saw mounted to a board, that was in turn mounted to a tool stand. The three mounting holes are very inconveniently placed, making it nearly impossible to know where to drill holes for the mount bolts, much less leaving room for inserting hardware. Two of the three holes were accessible for passing through hardware, albeit requiring the removal of the side panel. The other allows no ability to mark a hole and leaves you to measure and guess as best as possible. I was able to get it mounted and secured but it would have been much more convenient if the mounting bosses had been placed outside of the housing frame to allow accurate marking and tightening. An alternative would be to include a mounting template with the manual. I could have made my own but it is still difficult to get a nail down vertical in the frame to poke through to paper of cardboard. I just made best guess with measurements and oversized the holes. Not a game changer but just a suggestion if they decide to make improvements in the future. Otherwise, all looks good and was pleased to see they respond to any technical or warranty issues. Phone response was quick and issue was resolved immediately - sometimes that is just as important as the product itself and I give the company and agent 5 stars for service!

Never disappointed by Wen products
1st I am a hobbiest and this is my 1st scroll sawI have many Wen tools and they have never disappointed.Pros: Plenty of power, quiet, accepts pinned and non pinned, good quality for the price.Cons: Non pinned blade addapteres are difficult to install blades then onto machine until you get the hang of it, dust blower is useless.

Arrived on time and undamaged
This arrived swiftly and in great condition. Unfortunately, we had to return the item because my daughter was no longer interested in woodworking.
