Burt's Bees 100% Natural Nourishing Mascara, Classic Black, 11.5 g

At last a mascara that doesn’t leave clumps and uneven spread. I am really pleased with this product … it’s covers evenly, the brush stays thinly coated and it doesn’t make my eyes water.

I love the fact this is made of natural ingredients, after having a splinter in my eye and visit to A&E I thought it was time to take better care of my eyes! I have had no irritation from this mascara and it's easy to apply. It does unfortunately smudge easily but it also washes off with water instead of needing makeup remover /harsh chemicals so I'm pleased with that. It's a little lumpy when it's applied so I would recommend a separate thinning /eyelash brush to spread out the lashes. For £8.66 inc delivery it was good value and I may order it again for my non exercise /wet weather /emotional days!

I’ve converted most of my makeup products to more natural ones and it’s been a bit of trial and error with some products but not this one which suits me just fine. Goes on well, doesn’t smudge into panda eyes, comes off easy enough at the end of the day and I’ve had zero reaction to it on my sensitive eyes. Very happy I’ve found a product that I’ll stick with and have just reordered

I chose this as had been looking for make up with less chemicals and kindness to planet and know of the brand. As with all mascaras the more slowly and calmly you apply, the better it looks. Just don’t do what I did: was having stressful morning and running late for appointment, applied it very quickly then ran out of the house in a hurry, reversed into someone’s car, spent 30 minutes an hour going around the houses trying to find out whose car I scraped, eventually exchange details, then drove off and burst into tears as hitting that car was the final straw with other things going on in life - then you will find that this mascara stings, so you end up driving (empty county lane), sobbing, wiping your eyes, sobbing, your eyes stinging so more tears, you pull over and glance in the mirror and it looks like gravy browning streaming down your face, your eyes are red and puffy and stinging. Best to wear this mascara when calm and serene.

I have been on a mission to use cleaner ingredients, and figured it made sense to re-examine the mascara I was using. While I loved my previous mascara and have been loyal to it since the start of the pandemic when it was necessary to find products I could rely on getting delivered conveniently, I thought it seemed like it would give me a similar result to my last mascara after reading the reviews. I am so pleased with this mascara and so glad I tried it! It has almost a sweet scent to it also that I really like, but maybe that’s just me. (Maybe it’s the scent of the beeswax? Not sure, but I enjoy it!) It goes on really nicely and can layer well. The first time I used it, I waited too long to apply another coat because something came up while I was applying, so by the time I started to add more layers of mascara, it got a little clumpier than I had hoped. I thought that I remembered reading something in the reviews though about not letting it dry too long if you’re going to add more, and my last mascara also did that (just not as quickly), so I decided to declare user error and try again the next day. The next day, I applied all coats uninterrupted, and it went on so smoothly and beautifully. I really love it! It provides length and thickness for my lashes, which are not very long naturally. I use an eyelash curler (use might be an exaggeration, but I press lightly with an eyelash curling device for a brief moment) and I like the way the mascara can help my lashes curl and fan out nicely. I am also very impressed with how cleanly it washes off with water. I used to need to use a good amount of micellar water to remove the remaining mascara from around my eyes after washing my face. I have really not had to do that with this mascara. It has not run for me after wearing it all day, nor after a workout. I am thoroughly impressed and plan on sticking with this mascara. I love this company and use a good amount of their ingredients, so I am really thrilled with this mascara and wanted to take the time to encourage others to try it! (Note: I have not swam yet while wearing this, but am not sure when I will be swimming while wearing this in my normal life much anyway, so that is not a factor in my review.) Update a few months in: I’ve realized I do not even need to continue using an eyelash curler with this mascara and my eyelashes stay curled just from the mascara. Also, I don’t know if it is the clean formula or no longer needing to use micellar water to remove mascara, but my lashes have grown thicker and longer and my lower lashes have grown in (they used to be very sparse and thin). I have already purchased another one to use when this one runs out!

Tengo un problema de piel que no me deja vivir en paz y me he dado a la tarea de buscar marcas... digamos lo menos toxicas posible, vi que Burt's Bees es una gran opción y le dí una oportunidad. En cuestión de textura me gusta mucho y me dura bastante a pesar de no ser waterproof. No lloren porque todo mal jajaja pero no me ha causado ninguna reacción en la piel y eso las marcas comerciales no me lo dan. Repito, NO ES A PRUEBA DE AGUA entonces ni siquiera he gastado en desmaquillante porque al lavarme la cara se va todo, otro punto a su favor.

Klasse Produkt, auch fuer sensible Augen

Es fantástico que sea más natural, pero la calidad es pésima. El cepillo araña y se corre con todo, si lloras o te ríes se corre de una manera brutal, nada que ver con las máscaras normales no veganas, que se corren pero de una forma más discreta. La camilla del fisio la dejé que parecía que habían sacado petróleo del agujero de la cara… madre mía…. La tiro.
