Terminator Hollowpoint Air Gun Pellets - Available in .177 Cal or .22 Cal

These are pretty darn accurate, I use a Winchester 1977xs, on 6 pumps it’s accurate within a Gatorade cap at 30 yards. Also for pest control works exceptionally well, no wounded shots, much more effective and quick, exit hole is larger than the barracuda hunter extremes. Also since it’s lighter it flies a little quicker and straighter. Overall I do recommend these, margin for error in manufacturing is low.

I recently went on a quest to find the best performing .177 pellet in my Umarex SA10 co2 pistol. Performing extensive testing that included 11 different pellets (different brands, weights, and designs). Collecting data on group size, range (difference between smallest and largest group), etc. To control for the human factor, I conducted the testing by securing the pistol in my bench vise. Ensuring the results and data would represent the objective and inherent accuracy of the pellets being tested. The groups were shot at 25 feet (five 5-shot groups, and one 10-shot group). Pics of all these groups are attached to this review. Along with tables of the detailed results. ***What you need to know about the H&N Terminator**** Simply put, the Terminator was hands down the best performing pellet in my SA10 pistol. Unrivaled by any of the other pellet tested. Incredible accuracy and consistency! Average 5-shot group size with these was .315". Nearly half the size of the next best performing pellet. In terms of range (difference between smallest and largest group), it also performed extremely well. Taking 2nd place in that metric; barely beaten out by the RWS Meisterkugeln Pistol. What's truly impressive is how well it maintained its accuracy as the co2 depleted. It's generally accepted that the SA10 pistol will give you around 40 consistent shots. With velocity, and hence precision, falling off after that. I was so impressed with the Terminator that I extended the testing until there wasn't even enough co2 pressure to cycle the slide (all the way up to 75 shots on a single cartridge). The groups did begin to open up. But were still smaller than most of the other pellets tested at "full power". Every pistol/barrel is different. So the performance I got is not guaranteed to be the same for you. Still, if you have a co2 pistol, the H&N Terminator is the one pellet I'd absolutely recommend you try. ****Edit**** Unfortunately, it appears the image resolution of all the pellet groups was significantly downgraded. So I'm adding a couple more images. One of the H&N Terminator groups as they were tested (i.e. the first shots were on a fresh CO2 cartridge). The second image is how the Terminator performed at the end of the CO2 cartridge's usable life (shots 47-76). And while I wish the image of all the pellet's groups would have come through with better quality. You can still use it in conjunction with the table to identify which brand/model pellet correlates to the respective number in each row of groups (best to worst).

To begin this review, bear in mind that the tests I did were with a .177 Gamo Whisper, with gas spring conversion, so it performance is very similar to other break barrel rifles with similar 'engines'. These guns prefer lighter pellets to get maximum FPE, but choices of ~7 grain hunting HP pellets are very limited. The 9.6gr H&N barracuda hunter extreme gets 14.1 FPE in this gun, where the terminator gets 15.7 FPE. Grouping: I like to do accuracy tests with the barrel resting in solid V blocks - no human error effects, at 48 feet - Terminator>>1.5" 5 shot group, Barracuda>> .65" group Lightened/modified Terminator>> .9" group. Expansion/penetration: at a distance of 70' shooting a small sandwich bag filled with soft mud, 1.3" thick; Terminator>>full expansion, 2" diameter cavity size, exit hole in bag, Barracuda>>partial expansion, 1" cavity size, exit hole in bag, Modified lightened Terminator>>full expansion, 2+" cavity size, no exit hole in bag. OK, so the 'Modified' Terminator works quite well in this gun for hunting purposes (great expansion & energy at 70', plus decent accuracy, and lowered chance of pellet exiting the 'target' and hitting unintended target. The lightened version was done by making a form fitted gripper (epoxy putty on both jaws of a pair of pliers with cavities that can grip the pellet) and using an ob-round .125" diameter carbide burr in a drill to bore out some of the interior of the pellet while holding it in the gripper tool. I removed 0.3 gr. of lead to get velocity up to 1030 fps versus 990 fps unmodified. It could be that if your gun can achieve close to the 1030 fps with the unmodified pellet you will get the improved accuracy, who knows. Bottom line for me is that these pellets have good potential, but may need to be propelled at speeds higher or lower than the 990 fps to get good accuracy. The Barracuda is also a very good option for hunting with break barrels like mine, but won't shoot as flat of trajectory out to 50-60 yards, and may pass through the pest at short distances. got to go now...I've got pellets to modify!

These are hard hitting and accurate. Fun to shoot at reactive targets, they definitely slap on impact.

I've purchased several different types and sizes of H&N air gun pellets. They are very good quality and my air guns seem to like them. They're very easy to load. Can't wait to try a few more types of pellets.

These do some serious damage, I tested one out on a beer can filled with water and it almost ripped the whole thing in half. I tried it again with another one just to make sure it wasn't a one time fluke, and it did the same exact thing. The first picture is actually what the entry points look like, second picture is the exit points. The results speak for themselves, definitely a solid pellet for whatever your needs might be. Will probably be my go to from now on.

Absolutely brilliant pellets. Worth every penny , shoot dead and true from either close range with an ancient sprinnger or my new PCP. Also the overall quality of the pellets is very very good. Have had other brands where you get one or two pellets per tin that are slightly misshapen but so far with at least 3 tins under my belt no duff ones. One word of caution though , they have a tendency to pass through certain backing protection with ease even at 20 meters so had to back stop with a slightly downward angled sheet of aluminium I had kicking round. Over all as I say cannot fault the brand one bit.
