Great waterfall pumps
Overall, these are fantastic pumps. I own several of them for various water features around my property, and they really move the water. It makes my waterfalls look great! These pumps also effectively pump a higher elevation than some other pumps I have used in the past, in which the flow decreased substantially with more elevation lift. In all these Alpine pumps I have had, I’ve only had one of them arrive not working, and the Alpine company took care of it promptly. I like to zip tie the plastic filter cover onto the pump so that it doesn’t get knocked off so easily. If not running a pump for an extended period, I have found it much better to pull it out of the water than to let sediment settle into it or let it freeze.

Alpine Pumps can look like new and keep on working 4 years or more.
I've purchased numerous pond pumps for over 20 years, including 14 from Amazon. Vivosun and Aqua Pulse are the worst, stopped working within months. Pumps from Home Depot and Lowe's work for about 1 year. Alpine is, by far, the best, with beautiful blue frame and last a long time. Alpine 3100 purchased in June 2020 stopped in 2024. Alpine 10000 purchased in June 2020 still works, but only half as strong as when new so I keep it as a backup. The two Alpine 8000 purchased in July 2021 are still working flawlessly. Note: Sometimes, Alpine stops working so I unplugged and cleaned out whatever clogged them, waited for about 10 minutes and plugged back in. Usually, they'd restart immediately but sometimes, I'd walk away and when I come back 30 minutes later, I'd discover that they're working flawlessly again for up to a year without issues.

Extremely Durable and Reliable
I've had this pump for five years. It has run nonstop the entire time in our pond and has had zero maintenance. I went through three pumps before I found this one. Honestly I am amazed at the durability and reliability. It deserves six stars, five aren't enough. Highly recomend!

It's not 2100GPH but it's a pretty good option for a modest stream
The media could not be loaded. I am using this as the submerged pump in my backyard "lost river". The rise from the pump to the top of the fountain is about 3.5 feet and I am running it through 1 1/4" tubing. It's actually a little strong for this purpose as you can see by the video so if I had to do it again, I would probably run 1".Works silently so long as it is compleletly submerged which is what I was hoping for.

Submersed in the pond, been running over a year straight, including through the a freezing winter.
Been running for just over a year now, submersed in the water, including winter Washington DC area. This past winter had a few multiday, up to a week below freezing. Zero issues.6 foot high water fall, almost 2 feet below water surface, been pumping great the whole time. I did make the effort to put it into a mesh bag (lots of earthworms get stuck in the bag mesh (so weird).I did intially try to run it out of the water, but priming the pump was a pain.very happy with my choice

Stopped pumping after 10 days!
Purchased November 2018 as a backup pump for my Koi Pond. Was still in the original box until a week ago when my Aqua Pulse 3000 (purchased March 2018) stopped pumping after 7 years of daily use. I was dismayed that this still brand new pump "died" after only 10 days. When powering it up, it briefly started for a second then completely stopped. Now it's completely "dead".

A good product.
I get about five years out of one of these in my pond. Won't buy any other brand..
