Great Purchase
Great bulbs at a great price. Hope they last a bit longer than the very expensive ones I bought from a local electrical store.

Very bright and flicker at first.
I purchased these lightbulbs for a chandelier. I chose them because they are dimmable. They work fine but do flicker at first and so then I turn them down. On reflection, I should have purchased soft white, opaque bulbs, as I find these too bright for my personal taste.

I've seen the light...
and it's exactly what I was looking for. We use these in dimmable wall light fittings and they work so much better than the original filament bulbs. Much longer life and noticeably less flickering which is great. Have used these before and will do so again.

Excellent bulbs and customer service!
These bulbs are great, nice warm light and work brilliantly with my BG Electrical dimmer that I also bought on here. The bulbs dim smoothly and look great. ProluxEU's communication is also excellent, I had an issue with one of my bulbs and they helped to resolve the issue straight away. Highly recommended!

Poor quality: exploded.
Light bulb exploded in fitting, scattering glass across room. Other bulbs all dimmed after about a month of use shedding only a fraction of the light of their initial setting.

Energy savers.
Beware! These lamps will flicker and Strobe very badly if you have an non compatible dimmer switch!! But you have to buy them first to find that these lamps need a 'certain' type of dimmer which are not standard in most British homes. I bought ten of them expecting to save energy, only to find after long conversations with seller that a specific Type of dimmer switch is needed to operate these lamps. I have thrown my lamps in the rubbish and gone back to Standard type lamps which work perfectly. I even got an electrician to fit me a new dimmer switch but that was just as bad. Sadly he fitted a normal dimmer again and not the Special type these lamps need. I can't be bothered any more and have gone back to the original type. So, BYER BEWARE!!!
