Ask a Ninja Presents The Ninja Handbook: This Book Looks Forward to Killing You Soon

I personally discovered the "Ask a Ninja" series through Youtube in which a ninja answers various questions through humor. I found the series to be "my sense of humor" as it was silly and downright "WTF" at times. So I decided to take a shot and purchase this book.I don't "hate" this book, but it was not what I expected after watching the series. The book is a mixture of illustrations and "activities" should you decide to call them that (along with text of course. This is a book afterall.)I highly enjoyed the illustrations and some of the "activities". The quotations marks are there as you should never attempt what the book tells you. If I remember correctly one activity involved seeing how many friends you could decapitate with a blunt object. Fun, but illegal.Aside from that, the text seemed to take too long to set up a punchline. A few were worth the wait, but many times I found myself skipping ahead just to view the crazy illustrations.

I will keep this short and sweet; if you like ninjas, or are a ninja yourself, and you like hilarity, then you might like this book. Actually you will love it, I bought this for a good friend of mine and we went through it (note: don't be a genius like me and order it gift wrapped if you want to skim some pages...)and shared in ninja laughter. We almost killed some people because we were so impressed and happy with the book, but you will learn that happy is not one of the reasons a ninja kills. So check it out if you like ninja knowledge, and ninja humor, some slapstick and whole lot of hilarity.

May only appeal to a certain silly-yet-twisted sense of humour, but it's making me laugh out loud. Definitely read the sample pages and you'll either roll your eyes and move on--or BUY IT!! LOL!Only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was the quality of the edition; bit of a book snob and it has a very cheap feel in hands. I've gotten better paper at lower cost. That's the publisher's bad, not the author. The content is totally a hoot!

so i'm pretty sure this book is friggin radical. only, i'm not totally 100% sure cuz i started reading it and then my mom saw it and said she wanted to read it. i told her no way, cuz duh i bought it with my own money and i had only just started reading it and it was already turning into the totally best book i had ever read. but then the next day i woke up, and the book was gone and so was my mom. it's been 2 weeks now and i'm really starting to get hungry.

First, this is easily one of the funniest, most enjoyable reads I've ever had. I bought this book on a whim and I've read it cover to cover about 4 times now. I travel a lot and this book has passed many hours at 35000 feet. I met a guy on the plane a week ago and let him read a bit and he was laughing out loud so I decided to make up for some bad karma and gave him the book. Immediately after getting home, I re-ordered it. Ninjas everywhere smiled. Highly recommended for "Nonjas" with aspirations of becoming "Is That a Ninja?" in their lifetime.

I got this book as a gift last year and recently I decided to buy one to give to a friend for his birthday. I love books that make me laugh just because it has such an unusual subject and goes above and beyond to explain in full detail the important process of learning and understanding the dangers and perks of being a Ninja Assassin...lol! Other comparable books I recommend along with this would be "Zombie Survival Guide" and "How to Survive a Gnome Attack".

I hope to acquire Ninja skills from the book as the book itself states it may kill me soon. I'm always up for a good challenge so that's why I ordered it. On a side note, if the whole Ninja thing doesn't work out, I'm looking forward to learning how to be a Pirate. Not one of those Somalian, modern day Pirates, but a Captain Hook, old school one, w/ an eye patch, peg leg & hook. Yeah,that would be sweet...

This book can only be read in little doses. I find I become bored if I try to sit down and read it chapter after chapter and it eventually became my bathroom book for a good read in small amounts. Very funny but the humor can get old.

The fast paced humour of the Ask-A-Ninja, Ninja, doesn't translate well to the written page. I found the humour in written form to be tedious, stale and didn't hold a candle to the punchy, quick delivery style of the video works.

This is such a great book. Very funny
