An OK medium dark roast that has a decent crema and was pretty smooth but unfortunately the flavor was a bit lacking in character. Minus points because there was no roasting date printed on the packaging, just an expiration date so who knows how old it is - a roasted on date leaves no uncertainty. Also the product description says it ships in a re-sealable bag but my order was not in a re-sealable bag so I had to transfer the beans into the last empty bag from my prior coffee purchase - which was re-sealable? Won't be buying this again unfortunately.

I initially received Blackwelder Coffee as a gift from a friend, and I have been converted to this brand ever since. I am very picky about my coffee, but I must say, this blend is delicious, not too dark, not to light. Makes delicious espresso and lattes with the best crema! Far better than Peet's, Starbucks, or Lavazza. I drink two cups black every morning and treat myself to an espresso or a latte using my Breville machine in the afternoon. If you have been searching for the perfect, easy to order coffee, this is it. I also love that I am supporting a small roaster, especially during these difficult times. I will continue to share this brand with my friends and family!

This is one of my new best ever coffees now. My wife and I have gone through 10 lbs of this and its amazing. I like to try new coffee roasters from different places, but we are hooked on this one. Not too strong but strong enough to get you going. The flavor is amazing and rich, full bodied and just makes you feel so good. It has an aroma that wakes you up and puts a smile on your face. My favorite espresso bean. My only complaint is that I wish the 5lb bags actually came with the resealable bag that I love and is in the description, but it doesn't ever come with it. Maybe I can get a couple sent out bad on my frequent order history?? Lol. Thx.

For an advertised "Espresso" coffee, this brand really falls short. No robust flavor, at all. I regret that I made the purchase and won't again.
