Organic Shea Rose Body Butter, Rose Butter, Beauty Butter, 8 oz.

Love this Shea Butter! I think a lot of people do not understand what RAW means (mostly under the review section for this same product but with Rose added) — Yes, you need to scoop it out and rub it into your hands to warm it up so you can smooth it into your skin. No, it’s not free of a scent. There’s no added scent but you can smell the raw Shea butter. Wasn’t sure I’d love the smell at first but now I do. Yes, it’s greasy. But after about 15-20 mins it’s absorbed into the skin and no longer greasy. Give it time to do it’s job. And yes, it’s incredibly moisturizing!! It makes my skin more soft than any body butter/lotion/cream I’ve ever tried. The softness lasts for days! Who doesn’t love the softest ta-ta’s ever!!!!!! It also keeps my tattoos looking brand new!! This lasts a long time, and have had it for awhile with no rancid or potency issues. If you’re expecting easy lotion full of chemicals and alcohol additives that disappears into your skin quickly, this isn’t it. Going raw/natural takes an adjustment and some new knowledge... dive in!

I've just ordered my 3rd jar of the stuff. I actually didn't love the first bottle because I couldn't smell the rose and the shea scent was too strong. The smell wasn't bad, just not pleasant, as I had hoped it would be. Nonetheless I finished the jar and ordered a replacement because it worked wonders and was a good price point. Well the second jar was perfect. I couldn't detect the shea scent at all and the rose was present without being too strong. I'm hoping that this third jar and the subsequent ones that I'm sure I'll order are as good as the second. But if not, I'll accept the variance as part of purchasing chemically free scented product.

This is a large jar & great value for organic Shea butter. A tiny amount goes a long way, so this jar should last a very long time. It is hard and softens up as your skin warms it, and is refined & smooth- not Gritty like other Shea balms I’ve tried. Even though rose oil is the 2nd ingredient I could not smell any fragrance other than the Shea scent similar to coco butter. I gently heated equal amounts of this Shea butter with coconut oil and my own essential oil and stored it in small jars. Good for all seasons, it’s relieved the discomfort & pain of dryness for hands, lips and nose. I also have their organic lip balm in stick form & love it.

This stuff is amazing!!! I usually make my own butter but ran out on this trip. The water in LA made my skin itchy, dry, a chey, and ashy. This cream instantly made me feel better. I would go so far as to call it medicinal. When my skin is irritated as it was I can't use anything with fragrance, even essential oils. This was very soohing. It is a nice thick cream as per video. If you're not used to shea butter then fyi you will need to heat the cream by rubbing it between your hands before applying. The package is a quality glass jar with plastic lid, my favourite, and I'll definitely re-use it. Best to do so straight out of the shower as it absorbs best then. It smells of shea butter because it's unscented. If you're used to the smell then it won't phase you but it is a particular scent. My definite go to if I run out again!!!!

I looked at quite a few creams/butters for my belly and stretch marks during pregnancy. Some VERY expensive, this was one of the most affordable and still had great reviews. I was skeptical but I am so happy I tried it out! I am 33 weeks right now and my skin feels great. Stretch marks can be caused by several things so I can't say this is the magic reason I don't have any yet but my doctor just commented on how great my skin looks at my last appointment and I can say this shea butter has contributed to that. I purchased the lavender scent and rub it on before bed for a calming scent and to moisturize as I sleep and I LOVE IT!!!

Nourishes and moisturizes the skin. Not only for dry but also normal skin types. I usually apply at night before bed. The next day, my facial skin is very soft and healthy. Natural organic ingredients without any chemicals or preservatives. Light natural smell of cocoa butter. It is not easy to apply, but not so difficult, I just put the pieces (they are soft like a paste) on the skin of the face, neck, chest, let it wait for 20-30 seconds and when it melts, rub and massage the skin with your fingertips. I even notice the effect of smoothing out wrinkles and the skin becomes soft and elastic.

I really wanted to like this--I mean quality ingredients, local American company, glass jar not plastic, no funky preservatives, all organic, the works. Only, it smells really bad. Their shea butter and their cocoa butter (did you know odorless versions of those are available?) plus a hint of rose combine to smell like bad chocolate. All the complaints about it being hard to get out of the jar bemuse me: If you've ever used shea butter or cocoa butter, both products are quite solid at room temperature, so so it's kind of like complaining that flour is dry. Anyway, back to the review. I tried this balm on my skin, and it melts nicely and rubs in well, but the smell doesn't get better--it just smells like food that's gone over. If you can handle the scent, then this is a great and moisturizing shea butter balm...but the scent is really hard to get past. You know when your friend wrinkles her nose and says, "Ew, what's that smell?" that it's just not gonna fly. And a last minute comment: my dog just got up on the couch and started trying to bury the jar which is next to me LOL!

I've been on a mission to find products that are more natural without unnecessary fragrance or chemicals, so I was looking forward to trying this. I gave it three stars because it delivers an all natural product, which is exactly what it advertises. However, it just wasn't for me for reasons explained below. First, the smell was not my cup of tea. It was really off-putting at first, but I did get used to the smell the more I used it. The smell seemed to fade after application, but I couldn't be sure if others were able to smell it too. Second, it was not as moisturizing as I expected. After using it daily for a week or two, I noticed the skin on my legs was actually getting really dry and cracky. I'm usually good with an average body moisturizer so this was surprising. You may need to double up with a different moisturizer if you use this product. Third, this product took effort to apply for full body coverage. I found that applying after a shower worked best as the heat helps to liquify the product and spread more easily. This did cause an emulsion film on the skin, but that eventually would go away. On the plus side, I have sensitive skin and it didn't cause any adverse reactions aside from not moisturizing as well as I expected. I think this is worth a try if you are looking for an all natural product. I stopped using it half way through because wasn't for me and didn't provide the moisture I needed. But it may work for you.
