Sweet mother of pearl
This is the first of a series but can be read as a standalone and came out back in 2007. Sweet mother of pearl, this book was smokin' considering it's been out for six years! Rowdy Mackay has just finished serving eight years as a U.S. Marine, but mainly left because he couldn't control himself around six-year-younger Kelly. One tiny creepy detail is that Rowdy's dad and Kelly's mom are married... so I was a little taken aback that Rowdy and Kelly are lusting after each other when technically they're family. But anywho... another little bit of background info is that Rowdy and his cousins, Dawg and Natches, have earned a reputation of not just being womanizers, but they, uh, share and like, pleasure a woman together. Not sure if this is crazy erotic or crazy creepy... jury is still out. But now Rowdy is home and is staking claim on Kelly, who has waited for him all these years. It only takes Rowdy a few minutes to realize something terrible has happened to Kelly. A year ago, she was brutally attacked and almost raped. This guy is now stalking her and it's Rowdy's mission to flush him out and kill him if need be. When Rowdy is around Kelly, it's like he literally exudes sex pheromone. This author spared no expense and turning the scenes into something that should probably burn up the pages - oh yes! I'm still slightly weirded out by the whole threesome thing, so that definitely added an extra kick to this book. We get a hulking Marine and his two Marine cousins who are willing to move heaven and earth to protect Kelly, and kick ass on this psycho as well. I never guessed who the attacker actually was - it made for a very "Criminal Minds"-like ending. I'm probably not going to read the rest of the series, but HOLY MOLY, this first book sizzled!

Spicy romantic suspense
Nauti Boy by Lora Leigh is a delicious piece of erotica storytelling. This story of love starts off with Rowdy Mackay coming home from the Marines for good. He has come back to claim Kelly Benton, who he has loved since she was 16, as his own now that she is a grown woman.Upon his arrival, Rowdy is expecting Kelly to be the sweet tease he remembered; but, he encounters a woman who is mentally scarred from a sexual assault. Rowdy and his posse, Dawg and Natches, formulate a plan to flush out the man who dared to touch Kelly in such a violent manner. Meanwhile, with patience, caring and a little bit of pushing, Rowdy is able to entice Kelly out her self-imposed shell. This erotic romance has many moments that will steal your breath and cause you feverently wish you had a Rowdy in your life. Lora Leigh does an excellent job of telling a story that presents mystery/suspense and love (naked and otherwise). Her skills as an author are hard to come by. I definitely recommend this book to those who like their romance books to embody love that is naughty and honorable. Some of my favorite quotes from this book are:-- "I want you until I can't breathe for it," he whispered then. "But I would never hurt you. And I would never take what you can't give me, Kelly. Ever."-- He snorted. "Don't let your mouth write checks your body can't cash, baby. Don't dare me."-- "Easy," he whispered against her lips. "Just feel, Kelly. Feel for me. Burn for me..."-- "I love you until I can't breathe without feeling it move through me, feeling your presence around me. You're my heart. My soul." Rowdy to KellyHappy Reading from Bona Fide Reflections!!

HATE READ!
I read this book through my Smutty Book Club. Most of us labeled it a "Hate-Read". I was very angry with it for a couple of different reasons.First of all, it was just another variation on the trope of the experienced man and the virginal woman. In this case the man's experience comes from regular orgies with his two cousins while living in a small Kentucky county. The guy, Rowdy, develops the hots for his step-sister, Kelly, when she is a teenager and wants her so much he joins the Marines to get away from her. While he is still in the Corps, his two orgy partners vow to keep other guys away from her until Rowdy is ready to come home and take her. They do this with the understanding that one day they will all have group sex together. Kelly has not agreed to any of this by the way. She wants Rowdy but not the other two. How is this ok? It sounds like Rowdy is pimping her out. How can anyone justify have deep feelings for someone and then treat them like property without their consent? She must be pure for him and then has to allow the others to defile her. So boring. The most disgusting part of the book is learning how the Guys came to see their sexual games as normal. Apparently they were all seduced by a teacher in their teens who taught them this was the best way to experience sex. So all of their first sexual experiences were together in this manner. To paraphrase, they were statutory raped by their teacher and it ruined their collective love map. So now they feel the only way they can be in a relationship is if all three of them share women. Again, how is this ok? I get how this a reverse of the trope I complained about above, which normally I would appreciate except its illegal! And gross!Prior to the start of the book Kelly is attacked by a serial rapist. I'm angry at how Rowdy handles the news of Kelly's attack. He doesn't seem to want to give her the space to come to him. He almost immediately pushes his protection on her, not leaving her alone so she can get used to the idea of him being back and what that might mean for her. I just don't think that is how you handle an assault victim, if you truly care about them.I don't think Ms. Leigh wrote a realistic book of an assault victim reuniting with her love. It doesn't ring true at all. The characters are terrible and I want to throw things at them. Bad book.

Nauti Boy
Wow Lora Leigh does it again. Since reading Forbidden my first L L book I have been hooked. I couldn't put the book down and read until 3am. The stalker wasn't who I suspected which was great as it kept the suspense going unlike some books/movies where it's obvious from the beginning which spoils it for me. I certainly recommend this book and other Lora Leigh books. I would have liked to see the price of her older books to reflect their age. Good read as always LL. Was disappointed to find Wicked and Only pleasure missing from the kindle titles, I hope they make a return.
