Less expensive than buying in stores
As a Registered Nurse, this is the brand that I used throughout my career and in my home. AMAZON has the best prices. These 2x2s can be used to clean & dress a wound. The are sterilized and fit nicely in a homemade first aid kit.

These work well for me
Very convenient. Two pads (not really what I'd call a sponge) per package. Haven't counted, but I'm assuming there were 50 packs in the box. They are working well for me as I get to prick my finger every morning. Yay!

Total, Complete Rip Off!
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE PURCHASING.You receive 100 "sponges" that are packed as 2 in a single wrapper. So you actually have 50 packets, not 100 packets. However, the material is very, very loosely woven and very, very THIN! These things DO NOT STOP THE BLEEDING! 8 plys of this material is actually as thin as two pennies. You can easily see through it! EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY! These things are also non-returnable/non-refundable. So I am out $7 and stuck with a box of what is essentially 50 packets of air. I'm on Medicare, disabled, and I can't afford to throw my money away!

Great company & good product.
Sterile packets of individual gauze. Some of the packages were empty - how strange! My husband reached out the company & they were VERY accommodating & fixed the issue. Would repurchase in the future if I need small & sterile gauze.

Not Sponges as ANY of you Know Sponges, but have their own uses.
I cannot understand why these are called sponges, since they are the thinnest gauze pads available. But that's the name. I bought these for the sole purpose of being able to open the package and lay it flat, without touching the sterile gauze. I then place an alcohol wipe on top and then can more easily sterilize my daughter's PICC line between attaching saline, Heparin, antibiotics. They are perfect in that application-- keeping the alcohol from dripping on my hands and providing a sterile surface to easily grip with. (This is the method I was taught by the PICC team where my daughter was hospitalized.) They are cheap enough as I use 6 per day. I would not use these for any kind of cut because the strings of cotton will get stuck in the wound. They do not come in a box, but 50 packages in a plastic bag. How you can utilize the 2 sponges in each pack as separate sterile units makes no sense.

Wouldn't Buy Again
I bought these after my incisions began opening up after a recent surgery. They are dinky quality. If you have nothing better laying around the house, they will do, but I would never buy them again. Spring for something larger and softer. These are rugged and scratchy, and super thin. They are like the anorexic version of quality gauze. You have to layer them quite a few high to block any liquids seeping through.
