Best anchor I have ever owned
The media could not be loaded. I have looked at this anchor system for a couple years now. There are several manufacturers with varying prices but I settled on this system because of the lower than average price. I camp a lot and we take our 20' pontoon with us. During summers it's not uncommon to get fast moving thunderstorms and microburst while on the lake. There is also a tremendous about of boat traffic during the day which causes horrible waves that beat the boat against the shore. In the video above is my pontoon during a fast moving thunderstorm. This was the first true test of the system.Previously I had a 50lb dumbell tied to anchor chain and rope. The weight would hold the boat just fine but in a storm or heavy wave situation the boat would drag the anchor slightly. I have had sand anchors, drift anchors, mushroom anchors d homemade anchors. This is byfar the best anchor I have had.At this campsite the water is about 12"deep when you step off land and drops significantly as you go out with a mix of rocks, some sand but mostly fine silt. This area is on a point and the land is erosion protected by rocks and wrapped fencing so you have to make sure the anchor hold you off about 2' or your boat will be destroyed by waves pushing it I to the rocks. You can see in the video that this anchor held strong. I would give 6 stars if it was an option. Folds up for easy storage and is very easy to set up and set the anchor point. It really doesn't matter how you throw off the boat because it will correct itself and dig in quickly. Removing the anchor is easy as well.If you have a pontoon or any kind of boat that's heavy and needs a better anchor system do yourself a favor and buy this system. You will not regret it.

Works as promised
What can I say other than this anchor works great as an anchor. I have a 25’ pontoon that we like to take out on the lake and anchor and swim. This anchor is easy to deploy and it holds great. For storage it just folds up and fits under one of the seats. Great product.

this is the ONE anchor you need
I have a 19 foot Yamaha. The cheap anchor that came with it (a DAN) is worthless. Just drags along the bottom in the sandbar. Never sets even if I get out and push it into the sand. With softer bottoms it sets, but on a windy day, it will just drag. This anchor is awesome, my boat doesn't move an inch in the sandbar or softer bottoms. Should have bought this one first instead of several others trying to find one that could hold my boat in any conditions.

Super simple and stable
Got this on a warehouse deal and was all good. This works great holding our ATX TYPE 22s wake boat. I used to use a danforth style on our last boat-24’ sea ray bow rider, and those take some effort to know depth, let out line, and get the anchor to hook on mostly silty lake bed. This box anchor is super easy, just open it up, lock the pin, and drop straight down and leave a little slack so it hits flat and has a chance to dig in. It takes very little room so you don’t have to factor that in when trying to anchor in a cove. First time we used it, there were several other boats in a cove and my wife said we were drifting. I looked over, noting a reference point when we first anchored, and told her no, those boats are. Sure enough, the other boat was having to readjust their danforth style anchor and we were solid. Highly recommend this and this size holds our boat just fine even with a lot of waves coming at you. It digs in so well in silt/muddy bottom that you have to really pull hard to get it to unseat when retrieving it. We’ll worth the money for ease of use and stability.

relatively small, easy to store, sets quickly
Much smaller and easier to handle than my old fluke style anchor. Fits under seats in my tritoon easily when folded. Used it this weekend in ~20 ft. of water to park and swim--held instantly and boat did not move. Very pleased and would recommend this style of anchor.

Works great but you need to know...
It's been a year since purchase and I have used this box anchor with my 19' Key West many times. I live in Charleston SC and most of my boating is near shore or in the rivers near the harbor. The anchor works great and holds the boat in the changing tides with no problems. My only 'knocks' would be with setup and storage. You will want a rubber matt or other protection when setting the spring loaded hook to form the anchor. The folded anchor is also too big for the anchor storage locker on my boat. Small problems to have but worth pointing out just the same. I am happy with my purchase.

Solid anchor
Tried two other types of anchors. The box anchor is the only one that keeps my 24’ boat in place. Easy to set and rock solid. Excellent value and 1/2 the price of competitors.

Grabs easily!!
Seems to work great, used once but sets a lot quicker than my traditional anchor. I think I will still need my chain but so far I’m impressed. Only complaint is storage. It’s bulky and I will have to make a fixture to secure in anchor box. Wish it came with a rubber case.Seems to be well built and durable though, 9/10
