OXO Good Grips Toilet Plunger

OXO always knocks it out of the park and this is no exception. The holder effectively opens and closes, trapping gross liquids in place. The plunger works well. Everything has a great finish, is sturdy, and easy to use.

Clean looking plunger & canister for a bathroom. The plunger itself has a strong white handle with a black rubber suction creating “head.” The canister is white and hides the black rubber head within its two side flaps which part as the plunger handle is lifted up and closes as the plunger is placed on the small platform it rests on within the canister when not in use. I will be updating this OXO Good Grips plunger regularly. I own an older home which has a toilet which requires daily plunging. So it’s durability & effectiveness will constantly be evaluated. At the moment after a couple of weeks of daily use, I highly recommend the OXO Good Grips. Update - I've been using the plunger at least twice a day (I know - YUK!!) for just over a month. The plunger and handle are up to the task. This plunger is well built. So BUY IT. The cannister is the weak link in this bathroom necessity. It is made of plastic. So far it hides the black plunger head when not in use. But it is made of plastic. I have been careful (gentle) when placing the plunger in the cannister. So we will see. There is another aspect of the cannister to consider at least for me. The plunger head is obvious wet after being used. The cannister comes with an opening to promote toilet water evaporation. For most users I'm sure this aperture is enough to handle the moisture, but in my case there isn't enough time between uses to allow nature to do its task. So cannister maintenance is part of the bathroom routine. Again the plunger and plunger head are well made. The cannister works well. I still highly recommend OXO Good Grips Plunger and cannister. Update 11/1/2019 Still very strongly recommend this plunger - 4 months in. So pleased with the plunger and cannister. Wish I could say the same for the current toilet. UPDATE 2/21/2020 We are now plunging into 2020. 8 months after purchase. Excellent plunger. I continue to HIGHLY recommend this plunger.

This unit is as great as it looks. The plunger is an A+ quality plunger. It works well. The enclosure design and the entire unit allows me to store the plunger by my toilet and it looks good. Plungers typically look tacky and you have to find something to put below the plunger because of the water runoff after you use it. This unit has the bottom assembly that captures the water and it also has small vents to allow the water to evaporate. A really nice design. after 2 years, my first OXO plunger was still working perfectly. I purchased this one because I wanted to change the color of my unit to white. My original unit was gray; Every plunger should be this well thought thru and constructed. Not sure why that is not the case. High quality construction. High quality design. The plunger works great. The enclosure works great. For example, when your toilet is backed up, do you really want to sit there with one of those cheap hardware store plungers and try over and over again till one day it actually works? And then after it works, then what do you do with the wet plunger? And those really large plungers with that extra suction bulb on the bottom are difficult to clean after you use them because they are so big. If you want a plunger that is high quality in design and that works when you need it, this it. Honestly, I could see giving this to someone in my family as a gift.

This is honestly the best plunger I’ve owned. It works quickly and efficiently without a mess, and the design keeps things much more sanitary than traditional plungers. Sturdy, easy to use, and gets the job done right the first time. Highly recommend.

We love our OXO products and needed some new plungers. These are great, tested it out on a dry run and it was able to hold the suction well with good plunging movements. The only gripe I have is that the base does not close smoothly when you put the plunger back in. Other brands will close almost automatically once the plunger is set into it but this one you have to nudge it to close it. If you forget, it will just stay open and be unsightly.

Did a great job and long handle really improved leverage BUT the rubber part is quite thick and rigid so if you have arthritis or other issues with your hands it is very difficult and possibly painful to use.

This item is as expected: it works well, and sits there hidden in its own little container, looking neat and clean. PUtting it away is a one-hand deal. Just plop it in. No mess, no fuss, no ugly toilet area. I'd buy it again. In fact, this is the second one I've gotten anyhow.

This plunger is clearly made for a different market possibly American? The plunger does not fit through the standard toilet size if force the plunger separates from the handle creating a potentially costly situation.

Excellent performance, it fitted the u-bend of the toilet just right, not much effort to plunge either, the handle doesn't hurt my hand like another plunger I purchased before. Nice base that opens like a Venus fly trap, very well contained product 👌
