Got this for my 22 month old but this is a great toy set to teach colors and shapes I'd say from 1 year old. Also helps develop fine motor skills as they try to put the two corresponding halves of the eggs together. My daughter loves it! It would make a unique gift as well.

These are FANTASTIC! Perfect for my 19 mo daughter and her 3 year old friend! Shape matching, color identifying and easy to hold. The eggs are durable, but the carton was already broken when we received it (one of the hinges was torn).
