Excellent product. The best of food you can purchase we actually over purchased and they wouldn’t let us send it back. The seller said we could freeze it, but we didn’t have the room and we were in California at the time that was disheartening. We tried to give it to a few people, but they their dog ate something else.

We adopted a Maltese and that was the food the breeder recommended. She told me it was only food that her dogs did not get tear stains eating. It hasn’t prevented my dog from getting tear stains. He does like it and it’s a high quality dog food.

Malti-Poo mutt seems to eat this food reluctantly, once the real meat is gone, and the meat sauce has entered and softened the pellets. She does not spit it out, just eats it at the very hungriest times. This helps to keep the doggie at it's proper fighting weight and not getting fat from over-eating. If food is presented dry, dog simply sniffs it and ignores it for an entire day before nibbling at it. I suspect the roughly 3/8" diameter, 1/8" thick, round pellets are too stiff for the 10-pound dog to munch in its small jaw and weak bite strength. Your results with your miniature Pit Bull may differ...! LOL.Food has a "healthy" smell, not a rotting intestinal odor that some foods seem to emit. Ingredients claim to be high quality; seems this is true.

My dog loves this product. A bit pricey but worth it that the animal loves the flavor.

When I adopted my dog, the shelter had been feeding her this brand of food. She seems to like it. A little bit on the expensive side, compared to Walmart or grocery stores.
