Monster High: Where There's a Wolf, There's a Way

Sassy not Sweet~
"Where There is a Wolf, There's a Way" is the third book in the Monster High series by Lisi Harrison. If you have read one of the first two books, you know that this series is light and easily aimed at middle school children. This is odd to me because the toys and cartoons seemed to be aimed at children even younger than this.Still as an adult I read these books. Why? Because they are clean, cute, and they entertain me. The third book is as good as the first two. Clawdeen the werewolf is supposedly the main character in this volume, but the book splits time between so many different viewpoints that I am not really sure if she actually does have the most page time. However the big build up in the book is Clawdeen's "Sassy Sixteen" birthday party. After all, who wants to be `Sweet'? The bigger story arc continues in that the normies are all aware of the existence of the monsters and most, but not all, have been outed. Many RAD families decide to move away for awhile and their houses and workplaces are left abandoned. Clawdeen's family moves into the hotel that they own and close it up to the public. Duece's family heads to Greece. Lala goes off with her uncle. How will those who remain in town get their friends back? How can they make the normies understand and accept them?I applaud the series for its themes of acceptance and individuality but it makes me chuckle how quickly the big problems are resolved. That's nothing new: Look at the big problems the Ingalls were able to overcome in 60 minutes of tv in "Little House on the Prarie"! Still this is easy entertainment and there is nothing in the books to worry over your children reading.

Review of "Where There's A Wolf, There's A Way"
As I write this review I haven't completely finished this book. I have downloaded it to my kindle and my free-time activities vary so I go back to it every so often. But, from what I've read I really enjoy it. The book series goes on its own different path from the Monster High webisodes and movies. This is long before Monster High existed when the Monsters had to go to a Normie High School and do what they could to appear human and some things about the characters are different but only slightly. It's nice to get a different perspective.

Monster High Where There's a wolf there's a way
I really enjoy reading the Monster High Books .....I bought The first 2 @ my school Book fair. I just couldn't get enough of them. When I heard Book #3 came out in the kindle fire edition I knew I had to get it. My mom and I had a hard time getting it on my Kindle Fire...Finally it appeared after several hours. I finished the whole book in 2 days Because I love the books. I'm 13 years and obsessed with the dolls, books, and evrything else. I give this book a thumbs up. :)

Good book...fast service
I bought this book for my 13 year old daughter. She got hooked on the series and wanted to me to look up to see if the author had written others. I was happy to see that the author had and quickly added it to my cart. My daughter enjoyed the book so much she finished it in two days!

not very satisfactory but my rating is a bit generous- 2.5 stars
Pros:*Bekka finally gets what she deserves :)*There were plenty of cute and funny quipsCons:*The author uses some new phrases in an attempt to seem new age and cool, but not even I, a 15 year old girl, could understand most of them*If you're like me and wanted to buy this book, because your favorite Monster is Clawdeen Wolf, don't expect to be completely satisfied. You'll spend most your time feeling sorry for her and wondering why she doesn't just breakdown and hit or yell at somebody for the crap they're putting her through (she possessed a RIDICULOUS amount of optimism lol)*Nothing was surprising*When things got interesting it would die down pretty quickly instead of escalate into anything big*Most closure you can expect to get is finding out a little more about Melodys' birth, and who Frankie chooses to be with. All in all it's just a good Time Filler book :)
