Best Welsh Pembroke Corgi guide out there
I've read many books on dog training and puppy raising, but this is one of the best! We recently adopted a Welsh Pembroke Corgi and brought him home at 9 weeks. We have learned a lot about our Corgi so quickly with the help from this book. I highly recommend this for anyone who has a Corgi - even if it's not a puppy. It's also been basic enough for my husband to learn from on-the-spot. Either I'll share the basics, or he'll read a section quickly and understand how to work with our Corgi.

Should be a requirement for every Pembroke Welsh Corgi owner
This is a really good book for someone who is new to the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. I like the fact that it has very useful facts and practical advice. It has cute and adorable pictures as well. I'm only a quarter away from finishing the book but it's an easy read and I've learned a lot. I can easily say that this is worth every penny and that this should be a requirement for every Pembroke Welsh Corgi owner out there.

General Puppy Book not Corgi specific
I am disappointed in this book. I thought it was going to have insights specific to Corgi's but it is simply a new puppy guide full of information that I already know since I have had puppies before. The only caveats are Chapter 2 which covers the history of Corgi's, and Chapter 10 which lists diseases that are common with Corgi's. I'm going to try another Corgi book I browsed before buying this one.

This manual is specific to Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
Corgis are not a single breed. The write-up for this book greatly distinguishes the difference between the two breeds, Cardigan Welsh Corgis and Pembroke Welsh Corgis. They are not the same. There are other differences besides who has a tail (the Cardigans) and who is favored British Royalty (the Pembroke). I trust the author's writing and I really appreciate that she shared her personal experience about this breed and that she included specifics about Pembroke Welsh Corgis that not every Corgi owner knows. Overall satisfied after reading this.

Read this book before you get a Pembroke Welsh Corgi
'Pembroke Welsh Corgi Total Guide' is NOT your everyday book written by someone without firsthand experience. I will be recommending this book to everyone interested in owning a Welsh Corgi, whether for a companion or a show dog - it really is helpful on all levels. It is a great guide to learn the Corgi's ABCs, the pros and cons of having them as pets and the care they need. Good read! Recommend it!
