Nice album. Moderate selection of songs chosen.Didn't like the album design. (Poorly selected photos.)Only about 5 of the songs on both discs were truly fascinating and have, now, become classics AND "re-sparked" in the world of Blues, R&B, and Soul music.These are valuable pieces of unique music & lyrics that give Americans a very detailed look at the sociological, commercial, AND even political sides to the music industry during the 1940's, 1950's, and 60's. Then, by the close of the 60's, the death of 4 very popular and highly respected political and socially active individuals, the end to Vietnam, on into that new, large generation of "Baby Boomers" and the next generation of "Baby Boomer's Boomers" which BOTH enlarged the population during the close of the 20th Century but suddenly started an entirely advanced world of technology which led the way people lived (today,) into very, very fast pace ways of doing most ev'rything!!!So, by the early to mid' 1970's (that number 7) most all of the music during that decade had to deal with ...or related to: Love, Peace, Youth wanting more voice; fully new & different ways of slang, a whole new change in contemporary fashions (mostly for teens and early adults) and, before you know it, we were changing from using wall-mounted telephones, beepers, "Walk-Men AN/FM's" Cassette systems and using cash ...to using Debit Cards, Cordless Phones, Microwave Ovens, Bell-Bottem Jeans, Halter-Top Blouses, and Military Automatic weapons.
