Fantastic!!!
I can't tell if they work (hope I will never have to), but the size is small enough to fit under tight spaces around the dishwasher, washing machine and under the sinks. So far so good.Update 7/20/18WORKS!!! We had a small leak under the sink that would have gone undetected for a long time. We had a super annoying alarm go off in the bathroom with no idea what it was (happens if you put it under the sink and forget about it) and had no idea what the hell was going on. We started trouble shooting the fire alarm first, until we finally figured out that its the leak alarm!!! We found some water, not much yet, but I think overtime, it would have done a lot of damage.

It works
This product works as advertised. Set it where water can accumulate, once you hear the alarm pull the bottom off to stop the alarm.

One-time use = Ridiculous.
One-time use = ridiculous.there should be a picture of the underside so you'd know something is not right at first glance.the other alarms that look like this have 2 prongs. the POS has some kind of mesh that you peel off to shut it off..Ridiculous!

Cheap insurance, buy a bunch
This can save you lots of money on a damaged basement, be it an about to fail Hot Water heater (yup), a failed sink ejection pump (yup), or a leaky laundry valve (yup)... these things are relatively cheap, pretty loud (louder than the flat round version that seems similar, but no where near as loud) and are an early warning to a problem you may not discover for days... when your basement is a pool!I am not sure how long the battery lasts (its only used to make sound when water is present, not to monitor...) Buy extra of these.... stick one under your kitchen sink, under your toilet tank, etc. I will save you a lot of trouble and money!

Low cost and reliable
I used these ones to alarm me to a small basement leak and just replenished.

Too much $ for what is it
They made a lot more sense when the price was around $5. Now, they want $12 or more. You should just get a regular battery operated one. These last two years only and that is what they say, could be less. I did have one go off and it worked properly, although the alarm did not sound cosistently. It has a sponge inside that expands when it hits water. The sponge had expanded irregulally and the alarm connection was inconsistent. Anyway, you wouldn't have that issues either with the regular battery operated resuseable units.

It works and prevent major flooding if you are home when it buzzes
This unit works. I placed it by the old water tank and it made a noise that grew very loud as it got wet when the tank finally gave in after more than ten years. It prevented flooding in my home . I ordered 2 more for my new water tank and for under the pipes in my bathroom .

5am wake up
It was in the kitchen cabinet for a week at least and one morning I get up for work and it's going off I'd pulled it out to check no water at all. I touch the bottom where the sponges and it stopped
