Review: Love this book - My daughter loves Precious Moments books :) If you have a child that really likes to read, then he or she will love this one! :) Review: Sweet and thankful - Thanks and good feelings abound in these reflections about the blessings received during our daily lives. This is a sturdy, thick board book, perfectly made for small hands. The cover is slick and easy to wipe off from small accidents, and will hold up to a little more rough treatment. Each two-page spread holds a short poem (sometimes two), which reflect a couple things to be thankful for, according to each two-page theme. There is also a short Bible verse to reflect on. Thanks for silly songs...thanks for playtime...thanks for clouds and all sorts of, even sometimes, silly sounds. This small book hits a broad span of all the things kids, especially younger ones, can be thankful for. The themes are usually very broad and appropriate for children in many situations, making it easy for almost any little one to relate too. The poems change in length, tempo, rhyme and attitude, giving the pages as much variety as the things being thanked for. Each one is short and sweet, keeping it to a short attention span while still making the point loud and clear. The illustrations, as is with Precious Moments, are cute and radiate warmth and love. The kids are depicted in various activities, each one clearly holding emotions which even young listeners can pick up on. It's simply a sweet collection, which reminds how much God's given us and how even the smallest things in life make the biggest smiles. I received a complimentary copy from Booklook Bloggers and found it so sweet and cheerful that I wanted to leave my honest thoughts.

So Adorable!
Title: Little Book Of Thanks Author: Jean Fischer Genre: Children, Christian, Gratitude, Precious Moments, Board Book, Autumn Plot: With the changing seasons come cooler weather and a focus on gratitude and being thankful for what we have in life. We can be thankful for the big things like a roof over our heads and the little things like toys to play with and fuzzy socks. The habit of being thankful for what we have is a healthy one and we can start at any time. We are never too young to begin expressing gratitude for what we have. This adorable board book uses the classic Precious Moments children to illustrate the lesson of being grateful to God for what He has provided us with. Little readers will delight in the pictures and rhyming stories of things they can find in their own little worlds to be grateful for. The perfect book for autumn and the Thanksgiving season. Likes/Dislikes: This is such a cute little book! I didn't know it was a board book when I saw it but I love that it is one! And Precious Moments are adorable. The words flow really well. My only observation is that it is about six pages too long for the 2 yr. old's attention span but with some practice she will get there. Rating: G-all ages, highly recommended Date Review Written: September 25th, 2018 I received a copy of this book courtesy of Booklook Bloggers for my honest opinion. I wasn't required to write a positive review and the opinions expressed in the above review are my own.

Lovely book
I have always adored Precious Moments books and figurines. But as I have gotten older I haven't collected many Precious Moments items but whenever I see a book I just have to get it. This is a small book. This seems to be the week of small books. This is a precious book...see what I did there. ๐ It's a hard back back book and just right for little hands. My sweet little niece loves books and so I'm reading good books to her. But at two years of age she wants to hold the book, too. So this book is just right for her little hands. She loves the children in this book. The pictures of children in this book are adorable with their teardrop eyes and sweet smiles. This is not a storybook but a poetry book. For example on 6th page there is a poem, Thank God for Wonderful Sounds: What is Sound? Knock, knock. Ding-dong. Tick-tock too! Rumble, grumble, bump and thud, Toot , steak, moo! Loud sounds, soft sounds, far and near. Thank You, God, for giving me Ears that hear! On the one side of the book is a short scripture with a beautiful picture and then on the next side of the book is a poem like the one above. A beautiful book, especially for lovers of Precious Moments. *This book was provided for review by BookLook*

Geared to Thanksgiving but may be read out of season
Little Book of Thanks is an adorable book that teaches young readers to give thanks for the little things in life. I love this premise because it's so easy to rejoice over the big blessings that we often forget the little blessings in life. The book features rhyming verses that are easy to read aloud. Because of their brevity, these verses will be easy for children to remember. I can see children recalling these verses as situations remind them of a particular rhyme. Beautiful artwork supplements these verses. I enjoyed the artwork almost as much as I did reading these verses aloud to my puppy. (And I'm sure it'll be much more enjoyable reading this to my preschool Sunday School class when the Thanksgiving season comes around!) What I enjoyed most about the text is that the rhymes are interspersed with relevant bible verses. This provides a good learning opportunity for young readers. Adult readers can ask children to consider how the bible verses relate to the topic of the rhymes. I can also see adult readers teaching a relevant bible story to go with the rhymes. While I love the themes in this book, I didn't like the writing as much. The language is generic and lacks originality. They look like something that an elementary school child may have written. And while there are verses describing family and common activities, the choice of words didn't bring these elements to life. I didn't feel like I was there in the moment. All that said, this is a good teaching tool. Even outside of the Thanksgiving season, it's easy to let the hustle and bustle of life catch hold of me. Oftentimes, I find myself worrying about things that won't matter in the long run. This book inspired me to examine my life and give thanks for the little things. I recommend Precious Moments: Little Book of Thanks to families with young readers. While this book is themed to be read during the Thanksgiving season when the whole family is together, many of the rhymes are applicable to day-to-day life and may be read out of season.

Little Book of Thanks
PRECIOUS MOMENTS: LITTLE BOOK OF THANKS is a cute, colorful board books that will appeal to children and collectors of Precious Moments alike. The book is a collection of Bible verses, quotes by individuals, and poetry, some of which could be prayers. It ends with one about Thanksgiving when we are setting aside a day to give thanks to God for His care and provision. My daughters and I enjoyed reading this book and looking at the pictures. Grandmas, moms, aunts and church nurseries will want to have this book on hand. Will also make a good gift for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Recommended for children's libraries, too. I was given a copy free. All opinions are my own.

A beautiful read aloud for those snuggling moments of thankfulness... Delightful!
Are you one of the Precious Moments collectors? I remember back when my husband and I were dating, oh so long ago, and our local news paper would publish a Precious Moments box (in fact, I still have one of the first ones he cut out for me). As sweet and delightful as ever, this little board book immediately provides an endearing smile, a heartfelt inspiration, and "precious moments" of discussion for every reader and little one. The seasonal theme provides snapshots of childhood discoveries leading up to Thanksgiving day. All poems and prayers are crafted in a praise format. Giving thanks to our Lord, to those who love us, as well as the special gifts we receive on a daily basis is delightfully crafted with illustrations which portrays the innocence of youth. May we all have a sprinkling of love and hope on a daily basis, MrsK

So much nostalgia
I know this is way out of my usual reads, but the 90's kid in me screamed when I saw this book. I don't think kids today will really ever know how Precious Moments use to the *THE* thing in life. Lol Anyone who was anyone had the books, coloring books, little figures, everything. PM was life in the 90's, along with Lisa Frank. Lol So yeah, when I saw this, I knew I had to have it. And I admit I cried when I read it. It was a cute little fast read but it brought back to many memories from when I was little. Memories I think I was actually starting to forget. I'm so thankful for being able to read this book. Thank you for the memories! Everyone everywhere needs all of these books. Just saying. Lol โReviews of a fearstreetzombie
