Handmade Working Kaleidoscope - Unique Gift for Everyone, Vintage-Inspired Design, Fun & Colorful Home Décor, Ages

This product was ordered by my wife because she had one when she was a child. To see her open it and look thru it with a childlike joy in her heart was very warming. Something as simple as a kaleidoscope can bring back fond childhood memories. It is very well made and worked exceptionally. It’s antique look fit in perfect in our new library/study. Thank you for bringing joy to my wife and to me seeing her happy and reliving her childhood memories.

The pictures online don't really reflect the true size of this kaleidoscope. It's about 4-5 inches long. So, it's rather small. But, this is a great kaleidoscope IF you are planning on customizing it. Otherwise, take a pass because it's definitely not worth it. I'm a beader so I added quite a few beads, because there's a lot of room to be filled, but they must not be too thick. Mine turned out rather nice & I like knowing I can change it down the road if the mood strikes. I know some think the pleather (not leather) case is wonderful but I was disappointed. The kaleidoscope itself is well made & the mechanism turns easily. I gave it 3 stars because you really have to add items to it for it to be a real kaleidoscope & I think @ this price point it should have better storage.

For years, I've wanted to make a steampunk kaleidoscope, something brass on the outside but with gears to view on the inside instead of the usual glass beads. Trying to find or make a custom kaleidoscope was either too expensive, too difficult, or too "kids crafty" looking, and many kaleidoscopes cannot be tinkered with at all. I'm so happy I found this one! It unscrews and re-screws at the end very easily, so I was able to remove the colored glass and plastic beads and replace them with real watch gears and rhinestones from old broken vintage jewelry. I've included a picture of my inner modification (this is not what you'll get when you buy it).

My mom wanted a kaleidoscope for Christmas. I got her this one. It's well made, but contains cheap looking plastic 'gems'. Fortunately, it is also made in such a way you can open it up and replace the 'gems' that came with it with whatever you want. I replaced them with some birthstone gems of various colors. It's perfect now.

This was not as professionally made as I wanted it to be. I was looking for precise patterns and the views didn't even meet in the middle.

Fun kaleidoscope. I took others suggestions and put other objects in to make it more interesting. Exceptionally easy to do! Will be able to change around if I get bored with what I have Thinking of getting another for a present. I had to keep this one!

I purchased this to customize and make a gift for a client. This is easily disassembled to make it your own. It did indeed come with the box. I will be back to purchase more and customize for client pitches. This one was customized for bristol, TN/VA tourism, hence the bristol photos in viewer.

The whole purpose of a kaleidoscope is what you see when you look through the aperture. I bought 2 as Christmas gifts, but 1 of them had almost no colored beads and the view is very disappointing. The only reason I didn't return it was it's too close to Christmas and at least it can be customized. I hope my nephew wants to do that before he gets to enjoy it. The other 1 was great. They really are well made, but you would think with all the quality and attention to detail that they would actually look through it to see if the inside view is as good as the outside before they sell them.

Esta detallado por fuera y esta lindo. Los "cristales" de dentro son platiquitos de colores. Hacen formas lindas, me parece que con más piezas estarían más bonitos.

Los acabados no me encanta porque le dan una apariencia muy de disfraz, pero está bien. Lo que me decepcionó un poco es que simplemente esperaba más, no sé si todos los caleidoscopios son así o si necesito encontrar uno de mejor calidad, pero es que estuve buscando y este había sido el que me parecía más lindo.
