Nice likeness, great collector's piece
Right off the bat you should know, if you haven't already learned, that this figure is more or less a statue. It CANNOT be posed in any way. There's no articulation anywhere, no movable joints in the elbows, waist, or even neck. The gun in Walter's right hand can NOT be removed. This figure is just that- a "figure". Don't expect it to participate in any "action". :) That said, the figure is very well done. The hat and glasses CAN be removed, as can the duffel bag full of cash or the packet of blue meth that comes with the figure. To my surprise the glasses stay on Walter's face with little effort, clinging to his head better than I thought they would. The hat isn't a tight fit but rests somewhat snugly in place. While these accessories are likely to fall off if the figure falls over, they don't seem to be going anywhere while stationary. Speaking of falling over, my figure doesn't appear to have much trouble standing whether gripping the money bag (which alters the balance a tiny bit) or not. The detail is fantastic. While I like displaying the character as full Heisenberg (it just looks better with the black jacket and gun), the work on Walter's face is so good that I'm often tempted to take the accessories off. The figure looks just like Bryan Cranston, the grooves of his face nicely laid in and the steely eyes looking pretty much straight ahead. The paint job is nice, though there's a bit of overlap where the hand meets the gun. Nothing that seriously detracts from the figure or anything that most people are likely to notice. There are many comments here on Amazon speaking of opened (and subsequently taped) packaging, indicating that the plastic had come loose from the card before the buyer received the figure. Whether this is a now-rectified situation or I just got a good seller I don't know, but Toynk Toys sent me a package that was fully intact and contained everything that it was supposed to. Overall this statue of Heisenberg is a bit pricey and generally non-functional, it's meant to be something that's proudly displayed on top of a shelf or maybe bookending your collection of Breaking Bad dvds. But as a unique collectible and special tribute to one of the greatest shows in the history of American television, I think it's a quality item and definitely worth the purchase.

Both myself and my wife are huge Breaking Bad fans, and we learned about the existence of these action figures when the whole silly "Florida mom" debacle broke out. A mixed blessing: on one hand, we might not have learned about this were it not for the situation, but on the other, it seems to have created quite some demand for these figures -- my wife loved the hazmat and drum figure when she saw it in a report... but who says I could find it. Prices are usually a bit high too, for certain models. So I settled for this one as a good close second. But I digress... The figure is really nice, very detailed. It feels well made, heavy, not some cheap plastic thing. As the photos show, the sun glasses and hat do come off -- careful not to lose them, specially the shades, they are quite small. Walter is able to hold the bag of money in his hand, but then he is unbalanced and can't stay up. Anyway, fun present for the BB fan in your life!

Mezco Toys Breaking Bad Heisenberg
This is Mezco's second Breaking Bad action figure (the first of which was Walter White in Hazmat suit from the episode "fly"). This figure is Walter White as his drug dealing alias "Heisenberg". People have said that this isn't an action figure because the waist and legs and arms aren't articulated, while that is a bummer, this still is an action figure. Heisenberg comes with a removable hat and sunglasses, a duffle bag full of cash, a bag of 99.8% of the pure blue crystal, and has a revolver sculpted into his right hand. Also, I really like the attention to detail Mezco displayed by really accenting Walter's wedding ring on his right hand. A small detail but a very important one, after all Heisenberg exists so Walter can provide for his family. While I can understand peoples valid complaints about the lack of articulation, it doesn't matter to me because I am keeping this figure blistered to its card. The card looks like the opening title for Breaking Bad on AMC with a green background and the Breaking Bad table of elements logo and a side profile shot of Bryan Cranston as Walter White in his Heisenberg outfit. The head sculpt looks good and pretty accurate to the source. As well as the style of clothing and the body sculpt, only the coloring is not source accurate. The jacket and pants are all black and the figure is wearing a maroon shirt, never once in the show does Heisenberg wear this outfit. Mezco should have made the pants Khaki and painted the shirt with a plaid design, but this is Mezco and they put their own style into the license's they tackle so this doesn't bother me much. Though I can see how it may bother collectors and purists. I am an action figure collector and I am hard pressed to find action figures based off of currently produced television shows for adults. The Walking Dead is the only other license that comes to mind. The packaging and sculpt are great, the figure comes with some awesome accessories and though the articulation is limited and the paint scheme is not source accurate, that's ok with me. The paint apps are great, no bleeding or missed spots, the hat and sunglasses fit great, the overall look for the figure is great and any fan of the show needs to get their hands on one of these before they are hard to find and jump in price. FULLY APPROVED.
