Great rod. Just not from Amazon.
I ordered one. It came damaged. They sent me another one and it came snapped in 2. There packaging was tearable. I have 2 I got in a store. So I love the rod. Goes great with the Lew's crush spinning reel.

reel seat issue.
The new version has a weak reel seat design. It can crack very easy. To fix the problem, I used black silicone tape around the reel seat after I put the reel on. I took it on a fishing trip and it worked great. It really is a good rod, except for that one issue. Silicone tape has no adhesive and only sticks to itself. It stretches tight around the reel seat and matches the color of the rod perfectly. It can be removed easy, and leaves no residue behind. Because of this issue, this product gets only 3 stars. I have the 7 foot medium spinning rod.

Decent Beginner Rod
The reel seating feels cheap. But, guess what? That’s it. Hey, if you don’t crank so hard on it, it won’t break or feel as if it is going to break. I love this rod! I use it with a less fast action spinning reel and it’s smooth as butter.

Amazing bottom half, terrible top section
Great light rod to use for river and creek fishing with braid. Great action and great for keeping in the vehicle for a travel rod. I have not experienced the reel seat cracking (using a Pfluger president - the good model before the newer generations, as well as a Sixgill Karve 2000, if you haven't checked out Sixgill, I HIGHLY recommend them!) BUT have had the common snap on the second section. Was snapped on a crappie, almost had him in the kayak and SNAP! I'm currently using a replacement second piece from a higher end rod that also is made for braid in a med light fast action. If they would make a better second (end) section, and a better seat collars, I think Berkly will have a great braid ready travel rod!

Poor quality
The reel retaining nut is made from low grade clear plastic and cracked on the first use.
