GoodOne
Setup was easy, it looks good and seems to work fine. The inside console is a big step up from what we are used to. The size of the numbers and color coding of the data make it attractive, and the important data are easy to read. The little โweather tickerโ at the bottom of the screen is not easy to read unless you are close and get the light just right, but most of its information is historical so it is not critical to have at a glance. My only quibble is with the way it reports changes in barometric pressure. The barometer itself works fine, but the little arrow to indicate direction of change does not. Barometric pressure changes are reflected in the forecast pictograph, but I would prefer to see the arrow pointing up or down to help me plan for the day. All in all, at this point we are pleased and hope it lasts.

Easy set up and durable
Easy set up, easy to read display. We had the same model for at least 10 years and decided to buy an additional unit. Both are durable and are working great! Would buy again

Great Weather Station!
This weather station is great! We opted for the monochromatic screen and it's very well laid out. It's easy to look and see current weather information and seems very accurate. Doesn't take long for the system to update and no issues with connectivity.

Good unit except for the solar panel powered aspirator fan
The AcuRite units are decent, low cost weather stations, where the main problem is with the aspirator fan and solar panel that powers the fan. Either the solar panel, or the fan, often fail, and then the unit overheats in the sun and gives wildly high temperature readings. It is March here in Maryland, and the base unit is telling me that the highest temperature recorded so far is 92 degrees (the actual high was about 76). Obviously, the fan wasn't working. My first unit never worked right, the fan would not start up no matter how much sun hit the solar panel. If you opened the unit up, aimed it directly at the sun and gave the fan a push, it would spin slowly. I sent the first unit back for replacement at Amazon, and the second unit worked perfectly for a week. Then the fan stopped working on that unit. I was getting ready to send it back when I saw that Amazon had dropped the price by $40. We called, and got the $40 refund, which I used to buy the 06003RMA1 PRO+ Upgrade with dual solar panels that are tilted so that one gets the morning sun, and the other gets afternoon sun. I installed the dual panel upgrade, and now the 5-in-1 sensor is working great. I can't say how long the upgraded unit will work, but I will post an update if the dual panel aspirator fan unit fails. Otherwise, the unit if nice. Construction is cheap, but the unit is very low cost compared with units like those from Davis. I really like the ability to adjust readings for temp, humidity, and rainfall so that if the readings are not correct, you can tweak them. As long as the unit keeps working, I am happy with it. I really didn't want to spend 350 to 600 dollars on a weather station. I highly recommend that if you are considering this unit, get the one with the two solar panels rather than the versions with one. This will give you much more accurate outdoor temperature readings when sun is hitting the sensor.

Good, relatively accurate budget weather station.
We live in an area that experiences a microclimate different than the more populous surroundings, so having an at-home weather station is something we need to help us figure out what the weather will be like in our locale. I researched various stations online, and multiple sources said the AcuRite Iris was a great budget system that gives you plenty of accurate information for not a lot of money. Connecting the display to the monitor outdoors was easy. We haven't had any connectivity issues at all so far. Setup is a snap if you follow the instructions. For high accuracy on wind and weather conditions, mounting the instruments on a pole greater than 10' and up to 30' high is recommended. The fact that the display gives you both % humidity and dew point is great (dew point is a much better indicator of how humid it actually feels). So far, it has been extremely accurate and we're very happy with this purchase. We're able to get a better handle on what to expect in terms of weather and forecasting thanks to this station.

Very Nice
Wow this station is nice! Very easy to set up and works perfect, love the weather present and history ticker on the bottom nice touch but the best part is I got it for a buck 9 black Friday. If you looking for a station that you can trust this is the one, well designed and a quality build, paired in seconds not like that Sainlogic JUNK that doesn't work. I thought my last station was nice but AcuRite blows that one away, AcuRite is now my Go To for weather related items.

Fabulous fun!
Iโm head over heels about my new Acurite weather station (model 06016)! Several years ago, I bought an earlier model (same sensor but old display), and it became an integral part to enjoying our yard. But after neglecting to clean it of bugs and debris last year, I decided to brush it off outside then โdeep cleanโ it over my kitchen sink. Big mistake. Because as hard as I tried not to, some water did get up its underside, which as the manufacturer warned, could destroy its sensors. Sure enough, water must have gotten up it because after minutes upright to drip dry, the solar panel fogged up and it stopped transmitting to the monitor. Losing it was like loosing internet access! I grieved my loss, had only myself to blame, then decided to move on. Fortunately, the new sensor has the same exterior design, and fit right onto my universal pole, and like my prior, without the bracket. I did save the bigger set screw my prior had to secure the new one. BTW, the new stationโs bag of hardware is hidden inside the battery compartment (Amazon directed me to Acuriteโs website, which says it would be). It turned out, I didnโt need any of it for my installation. The monitor is big, intuitive, and easy to set up. Its data is more informative, including notches for the two previous wind directions, and its โweather selectโ feature (I love that I can set it to display wind chill)! Photos show old and new.

Nice station, but buyer beware
I like it, BUT BUYER BEWARE. The AcuRite Pro Color Weather Station is a simple, yet complete home weather station that will tell you everything you need to know about your local weather. It is pretty accurate too, but there are some issues that are directly related to the design itself that can create problems. That design places all of the components, temperature/humidity sensor, anemometer and rain gauge all together in a single unit. This makes it really easy to install and setup. The problem is that in order to get an accurate wind speed and direction, it needs to be set up high--placing it in the sun, Direct sunlight heats up the temperature sensor resulting in a reading that may be 10-15 degrees too high. The solution is to have a small fan, powered by a solar cell, blow outside air onto the sensor. The system works pretty good too, but there seems to be problems with the fan motors. Mine came with an inoperative fan. Checking the forum on the AcuRite website suggests that these fans sometimes run for several months (or less, like right out of the box) and then quit. Face with a brand new station that didn't work, I could either return it to Amazon or contact AcuRite and give them an opportunity to replace or repair it. Based on what I read in the forums, it seemed like their customer support was aware of the fan issue and was good about replacing them. I chose to give them a chance. I emailed Chaney Instruments' customer support and got an automatic response saying someone would respond within 3 business days. Two days later I got some troubleshooting steps which I finished on the same day, and responded. It took another two days for Chaney Instruments to respond back, asking me to send verification of purchase and dates. I again responded on the same day and am still waiting for their response. It seems that it always takes them at least 2 business days to respond to anything. I eventually did receive a response, after another 5 days saying they were going to replace my solar cell and motor with an upgraded unit, but it might be 4-6 weeks because they were back ordered. So, the bottom line: I like the station, and would really like it if it gave an accurate temperature reading. Without a working fan, that isn't going to happen. If you buy this station, be prepared to eventually have to replace the fan--possibly as soon as you open the box. If you choose to go through customer support, be prepared for a couple of weeks to get anything done. My advice would be to return it to Amazon if it arrives broken. You don't need the aggravation that I'm experiencing. Better yet, consider buying on the the stations that separate the anemometer and the temperature sensors. They might take a bit longer to setup, but you have the option of placing the temperature sensor in a shaded, protected area out of direct sunlight. Update: It has now been 6 days since I submitted the info that Chaney Instruments requested, and I have heard nothing more from them. Second update: Still haven't heard anything for over a week. I'm dropping my review to a single star since if you buy one that is broken, or if it becomes inoperative after a few weeks, customer service from the company is not at all responsive. Last update I'm going to do. The company did fix my station by sending me a new fan/solar cell which is still running as of May 2017. In the last 6 months, my rain gain seems to be stuck and no longer records rain. Maybe since I live in southern California, and we get so little rain, the buckets are just dirty, but I have tried to clean it without making a difference. On hot days, the temperature is about 2 degrees hotter than it should be, but the fan is still running, so at least that has continued to run normally.

Works amazing, easy setup, and readings are bang on the money!
Great product! It's sell contained (one device with all the sensor equipment on it). My past weather station had a bizarre tree of arms that had each sensor separate with wires connection them. The best feature is the solar panel/fan in the 5 in 1 sensor. I need to mount mine where the sun shines on it so I can get a wind reading. The solar powered fan draws air through the unit, so the temperature reading is right on the actual outside temperature. Other units (like my last one) would register 20 degrees hotter due to sun load. Highly recommend this product!

great product
I've had a few of these over the years but this one seems so far to be a winner! Easy to set up and install, good range from the outdoor unit to the indoor base, doesn't drop out signal. The data displayed is clear, precise and not complicated. Fun and interesting to use. Highly recommend.
