Malala: My Story of Standing Up for Girls' Rights

I am one of the FORTUNATE teachers that has “The United Nations” in my room. I make sure all races and cultures are covered for each of my students. They are in middle school, but they appreciate seeing all of the books that I have purchased on display.

I had a student that thought she knew the entire story because her daddy told her all about Malala. I ordered this book as she was telling me what her dad told her. I did not say a word. We waited for the book. It was delivered to our school. I gave her the book so she could learn a little more about Malala. Needless to say, she was a bit disappointed in what her dad told her. She thanked me for letting her read the book and I let her have it!

An incredible book to read about an incredible girl. Bought it for my 8 & 9 year old girls and they absolutely love her story.

I bought this book for my great niece. She is 10 years old & loves reading. She absolutely loved this book. I bought the kindle version for myself so I can discuses the book either her.

Amazing story of such a courageous girl. I am reading it with my first grader. I feel that I have to read it with her because there are many concepts of religion and social customs from different parts of the world that need to be explained and be made aware.

I am trying to cancel this order it was ordered by mistake. It was ordered thinking it was a book not a audio book by my daughter. There was not a cancel this order on the order sheet like the last one there was only to write a review.

Bought this as a gift for my 10yo daughter. She loves reading biographies, and this one really engaged her. She finished reading it in 3 days, and couldn’t stop talking about it. I’m so glad I bought this for her. Definitely recommend it!

This is a very inspiring book bought it for my granddaughter 15 ,she enjoyed it very much but a sad story with a strong ending.

Ho acquistato la versione inglese x abituare bambini di V elementare alla lettura. Libro interessante che descrive con gli occhi di una ragazzina temi importanti come il diritto alla libertà di parola e all'istruzione, in una famiglia come tante, con problemi semplici (bisticci tra fratelli, amicizia, verifiche scolastiche) e altri più grandi come l'arrivo dei talebani e l'imposizione di regole e restrizioni. Scritto con linguaggio semplice, ma che consente di introdurre vocaboli nuovi e regole grammaticali come il genitivo sassone e il past simple. Consigliato.

Malala is a must read for every child. An inspiration to understand the importance of what they otherwise take for granted. The brave story of a young girl is sure to inspire young children and lay a seed for something beautiful as they grow. It took me reading a few chapters to her before she got interested in the book. Best to be read with an adult to help them understand the cultural differences.

A mi hijo de 10 años le encantó, es una lectura muy ligera y muy adecuada para su edad. Además es una historia inspiradora y que hace a los niños reflexionar.
