ACCU-CHEK Aviva Plus Mail Order Test Strips 50-Count Box

This is exactly the same product as what I bought in my local drug store except that it cost a whopping $106 in the drug store. The expiration date was 14 months from the time I purchased this, about the same as the expiration date of what I bought in the drug store. It arrived within a few days. I don't know why anyone would buy test strips in a drug store when they can be purchased for so much less online. Pleasantly surprised!

Bless you Amazon!!!!!!!!!!!!, for alot of diabetics, it is extremely important to test our sugars on a daily bases, the more we test, the more we feel better, -have control and stop wild blood sugar fluctuations, and even more so on people on strict control like myself, ..a.k a. insulin pump therapy, and a busy lifestyle. First of all, its not always easy with the TERRIBLE EXPENSE of test strips, from a range of 80-100 dollars and up,- for ONE box of 50-100! And especially for a excellent company like accu-chek,- not by a cheap unreliable meter makers, and health care providers/ Drs. are always telling us to check more, but when your insurance company only gives you one lousy box a month, plus the nerve of a co-pay in some cases, that can be very difficult for alot of diabetics..Even so called 'diabetic discount stores' do not sell them as cheap as these, ---and with free shipping, !!!! Thank you, thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I hope Amazon continues to always have these in stock, !!!!

I am shocked to read all of the negative reviews for this merchant. The test strips I purchased were shipped within 24 hours of my placing the order and arrived within three calendar days. The expiration date for the strips is five months away, so no problem there whatsoever. Best of all, the strips cost LESS THAN HALF of what I can find them at any local retailers! It's really criminal how pharmacies and other retailers are getting rich off of people's suffering with diabetes. This merchant is an absolute godsend.

I got these and the test meter to check my glucose, even though I am not diabetic. The meters don't cost much. Company makes its money on the test strips and lancets. The meter, strips and lancet gun works fine. I test once a week or so now. Took some time to get the hang of it. Meter reads high for me (measures 117 immediately before and 107 immediately after blood draw in lab, where results were 85). Yes, I fasted for 12 hours before test. Anyway, it works well.

Exactly what I get at the pharmacy for a lot less money - more than 50% off WalMart price. As far as expiration dates - they tell you before you order what the earliest expiration dates would be. In my case they told me it would be at least 2 months out, and in reality it was better than advertised - I had one 50 pack that expired in 3 months and the second in 7 months. If you have a lousy prescription plan, or you test more often than insurance allows (which is my situation) then this product/supplier is such a blessing.

I have a discount card from Aviva. After finding out from my Pharmacist that you have to have a prescription from your Doctor in order to activate and use it there, they told me they have to add a Handling and Stocking charge because it was now classified as a controlled substance. So, the Aviva / Accu-Chek discount was a wash. This is a far better deal than any local store can offer and is very prompt on delivery.

Price was good and had a 2014 expiration date. Be sure you find the expiration date and can live with it before you buy it. If the item arrives with a shorter date than advertised, complain, return, get a refund or whatever will make you happy. If you don't check and it has a short expiry date, it's your own fault. So don't give poor review for your mistake.
