Last fall I bought my herpetologist-in-training niece a book of 'Wild Reptiles' or somesuch with three little toys in it. Unfortunately, two of the family cats are little crack addicts obsessed with a certain type of rubber. They stole, dismembered, and decapitated the poor komodo dragon, which happened to be my niece's favorite. For some reason, komodos are not a popular/common toy. I only found two varieties on amazon at the time, and this was the only one that looked realistic. As always, Schleich is a teensy bit pricey but the quality is excellent - I'm sure that Kodi will last until I have grandnieces as well. Sizewise, she's about a handspan long, a little bigger than a real-life anole. A nice size for a child to grip or an adult to display on a shelf. Overall, we are very happy with Kodi. And she's nice hard plastic so the cats can't eat her.

Schleich toys are high-quality, durable and generally accurate. This specific creature, the Komodo dragon of Indonesia, really captures the shape, proportions and style-of-motion of the real critter. I have spent a lot of time with Komodo dragons in the wild, so I know whereof I speak. In fact, I collect the Schleich animals for my kids to show them the animals I have studied in the wild, and help them have an appreciation of these magnificent endangered creatures. Although expensive, Schleich toys are made to last for generations, so if my kids care for their toys the way I did, our Komodo dragon, lions, tigers, elephants, orang-utans, chimps, gorillas, and giraffe, etc., will be handed down to the next generation.

I bought this Komodo Dragon for my grandson because I'm giving him a Mosasaur and the Mosasaur sea reptile is closely related to the Komodo Dragon. Cool, eh? It's also related to the Monitor Lizard, but I couldn't find one of those on here. But this Komodo Dragon is amazing! He measures 6.1"L x 6.1"W x 1.9"H and has very intricate details. No one does these figurines better than Schleich. That's why they're so collectable. This Komodo is incredible. My grandson will live him!

my sons have asked for komodo dragon toys for about 6 months. My mom bought my older son a big one he loved and i boought this one for my younger son and this is the one they are fighting over now. It is small but i think its the perfect size. Schleich toys are always very cool and durable! thank you!

I read the measurements but still this great looking komodo was smaller than I anticipated. My grandson loves it and it is perfect to play with his 6 inch action hero figures. I'm on the hunt for one to be in scale with a 12 inch action figure.

Was very pleased when these arrived to see the high quality! The design is very lifelike and doesn't look like a "toy" at all. Nice weight to the animal but not overly heavy or anything. I purchased a few different animals from this brand to stick inside house plants for a bit of whimsy. My children saw these and immediately stole them to play with!

My second grader chose a Komodo dragon for his second grade research project. He had to make a habitat that included food, water, Sun, and home. This figure was the perfect addition to make it come to life. Plus, he had a toy to play with afterwards. A win win at a decent cost.
