Valeo VRL6 6" Padded Leather Contoured Weightlifting Lifting Belt with Suede Lining

I bought this belt to help my squats and dead lifts and to allow me to focus on now letting my back arch. The Belt itself is great. Its the quality of an $80 belt for a fraction of the price. The padding is just soft enough to where there is no discomfort when cinching tightly. The material is a leather like material but it is thick! It feels durable.As for effectiveness I added 30+ lbs to my dead lift instantly after switching from the belt at the gym (either a light leather one or a Velcro one, both suck compared to this). It makes a world of a difference and I feel like I can focus my strength where needed. Its really easy to size and the wholes are close enough to where you can get it just right (maybe 1/2 inch).I am a 33 inch waste and im at one of the 3 tightest holes on the medium size belt. Under a 33 I would be careful getting a medium and maybe look at a small but there is probably room to go up to a high 30s in waist size within the medium.Click YES if this review was helpful. This is my second Valeo belt. I loved the first one, but wore out the leather lining that covers the padded back part of the belt. So much sweat over a couple of years of continuous use ate right through it to the foam padding, so I couldn't use the belt any longer. I thought about repairing or covering the padding, as the integrity of the rest of the belt was just fine. But, in the end I decided to spring for a new belt.The price I paid through Amzamon was actually less than what I paid for the first one a few years ago at Academy. Shipping was fast, though I must admit, they used a huge box and way too much air-pack padding for an item that they otherwise could have stuck a stamp on and dropped into a mailbox. Needless to say it got there without damage.Speaking of damage, that's why I wear the Valeo belt when I lift weights. As a recipient of three lower-back operations over a 17 year period, I gotta have the lower back support when I lift, or I'll be back in surgery. Frankly, the belt gives the middle of my body a sense of solid-ness that makes lifting that much more enjoyable. I wear it during my entire workout. It's super durable, pretty comfortable and gives me a real sense of confidence when pushing/pulling heavier weights. At 52, I know I'll never have the physique of those 20-something hulks who lift around me, but with the belt on, at least I know I probably won't get hurt trying to be a moderately ripped middle-aged guy.

The belt is great, thick and sturdy, and can hold you well when you squat and deadlift. I really like that it has two "rings" where the extra strap goes into once you put it on.I have a 31" waist (use a 30-31 Levis jeans) and bought the medium size and I have to get it all the way to the last hole but I was too afraid to buy the small since it mentioned it was for a 31" waist at the longest. The last hole makes the belt tight enough.One only issue - The "rings" where the extra belt goes into are very thin and look that they will break soon, I hope they don't.

I love these belts. Everyone in the gym has some super expensive, custom, Bluetooth ready, iron clad belts. Meh. That’s not for me. This company has been around they make a quality product. I’ve been working out for 15 years and love their belts. I do recommend the 6inch for those with a thicker torso. I have a 34 inch waist and the 4 inch digs into me when I squat. Other than that great belt for your money.

I've just started getting into weight training, and wanted to see the effects of a belt before splurging on a nice one.This is a decent belt which has served me well so far, but I'm a little concerned about its durability. The belt buckle worries me, as both the buckle and the 2 pins that go into the belt holes seem very flimsy. I'm squatting around 170lbs, and so I haven't seen this perform under high pressure, but I think it will be ok.Also, I've realized that I'm not a fan of belts with holes and pins, in contrast to belts you simply tighten. If your waist is in between hole sizes, well tough luck. But I can't fault the belt for that, because the picture makes it obvious.

DO YOU EVEN LIFT? I HOPE SO BECAUSE YOU WOULDN'T PURCHASE THIS IF YOU DIDN'T!I've beaten the ever living poop out of this belt by wearing it on two leg days a week, as well as several other days where I need to have appropriate back support to do certain lifts, and it was lasted me a modest amount of time and only up until now has it started to show tear, So this is after 6 months of abusing it like... Well I won't continue the metaphor but hopefully you understand the severity of abuse that has occurred to this belt.

A little stiff but that’s cause it’s new. I feel it’s secure and will last for years.

Belt performs great gives tones of support and i love it.No i dea what the size diffrance of XLRG and XL is so to be safe assuming XLRG was bigger i orderd XLRGmy only problem is it is way to big. Im a big boy 250lbs and i wear a 38 in pants but my belly is much rounder so i went with this size. i ended up needing to make my own holes about 4" past the last set of holes. I think i would of been ok with a Large

Por el precio (12,99 eur) esta muy bien, y cumple de sobra con su función.Cuero auténtico, de grosor mas que adecuado.Pero parece de algo menos calidad que otros cinturones "clasicos", tengo uno que llevo usando mas de 30 años, y aun sigue siendo solido y el cuero esta mas chulo cada día, pero no se si este (por construcción, calidad del cuero etc) llegara a tanto... quizás me equivoque...Pero de nuevo, por este precio, producto mas que recomendable.

It’s good but not perfect

The product is really good, and the delivery arrived one day earlier then sheduled, the only thing i wasnt happy was for the environnement, it came in such a big box for the item it was ridiculous. when i received a bench online last time the boxe was almost as big as the one carrying this belt. Way too much big of a boxe and way too much paper padding inside. I'm going to recycle but please dear Valeo! think a bit more green plz. and i bet smaller boxes are cheaper too.
