Beautiful colors.
I purchased to replace a similar item in my fountain that had died. They work wonderful but I did have to customize how to fit this into the hole where the water comes from. There was no type of tube or pipe to hold it in place. I did it and it works well. Update 6/27/2020. Only the red light works now. I’m disappointed but since it is a lovely light I will purchase again. I had it on a timer from dusk to midnight for half the year so doing the math, it probably lasted 1.5 years of continuous use take that info in your decision.

Nice lights but be aware of the ID on the unit.
Purchased this to install on an outdoor pump/fountain assembly to provide colored light in our pond fountain. When I first opened the package, I knew I was in trouble. The ID of the light ring is only about 1/2" in diameter which is too small for our fountain tube which is 3/4". So-ooo, do I send it back or try to jerry-rig it? I found a way to reduce the spray tube to 1/2" tubing. I slid the LED assembly over it, then created a fitting to continue with the 3/4" tubing. (Some Gorilla tape as used to do this.) It seems to work well, and the fountain runs continuously. I noticed that the LED colors change rather quickly; wish they changed more slowly. The LEDs are bright and depending on the spray nozzle, the effect is nice. The more 'splash' in the fountain spray pattern, the better the effect. The plugin adapter is large and you may need to use an extension if you have a dual socket box that shares another plug. There is plenty of cord. If it were the standard 12 or 14 gauge two-stranded wire, I would have bypassed the adapter plug and just spliced the cord into my existing 12-volt lighting system. The cable is round, however, and I didn't want to mess with adapting it myself. I see the price is less than I paid a few weeks ago, so shop around for the best price.

Limited lifetime
This is a great LED fountain ring, unfortunately it lasts only about three seasons. LED's fail, or a one color fails. I wish the manufacturer would chose a higher level of LEDs.

Nice light show at night but, it didn't last 7 months.
Nice light show at night. There are 2 versions of this light, be sure to get the right one. I ordered the wrong version and had to made adjustments using plastic tube. The smooth color change is calming to watch. UPDATE. this product didn't last 7 months.

Bright, colorful, priced well, but does not last very long.
Just beautiful in our backyard fountain. Our fountain is about 3’ high This light ring is installed in the shaft drilled through the fountain and mounted into the end of the plastic water tubing. So the water shoots out through the light ring. Very bright and colorful. It would be fun to be able to control the light colors, timing and intensity. But adding that function would put the pricing a lot higher. Looks really great at night. Well worth the price. Replaced a four year old blue LED light ring. This one is much brighter and, of course, more colorful. Dimensions: Ring inside opening diameter: 5/8" . Ring outside diameter: 1 5/16". Ring thickness (height): 5/8". —- Update 12/2020: The first one eventually failed. Some of the led lights burned out. I really liked this product so I bought another one, but the same failure eventually occurred. After installation, the second one lasted about six months before it failed. I downgraded this product from 5 to 3 stars because it should last longer. Whatever they are using to waterproof the light ring does not do an adequate job, I live in Austin, TX, so it does not get cold and does not freeze. I doubt this product would last as long in a harsher climate.

Seems good for it's money
The media could not be loaded. I ended up returning the light (through no fault of the seller) because it was the wrong size. The inside diameter is ½" and my fountain tube's outside diameter is ¾". I thought I had measured correctly. I felt I should give a review anyway.I appreciate how long the cord is, I wish I had measured it, but it was reeeeeally long. The light itself seems to work nicely (see video). I didn't test it underwater since I was returning it. Overall it seems like it would've been a great light, it just wasn't the right fit (literally) for me.

Love This Light
These color changing LED lights are the nicest I have ever found. I usually go with a xenon light if I cannot find the regular incandescent one, but these LEDs are soft , beautiful and last for a very long time. I usually buy one every year or two - I have gone as long as three years - for our condo association fountain. Great product, Great seller. You can't go wrong with this one.

Apparently defective product. Not worth it
Setup the water feature 10 days ago. The replacement (July 2019) light went to an all red cycle last night. The other colors do not light. They had good customer service last year but that cannot cover for an apparently defective product.*****Update: Item was replaced in April 2019. By July some of the lights were not lighting. It happens. I contacted the seller, Wiedamark LLC, via Amazon's email link on Friday, July 26 and explained what was going on. We received a replacement on Monday, July 29. No questions, just VERY fast service (over a weekend!). Can't beat that. Wife is happy.*****This was used to replace a Halogen light in a whiskey barrel water feature shining up at a waterfall. After several Halogen lights leaked and filled with water and eventually shorted out, we looked for a "self-contained" light assembly. It has been in place for over 6 weeks, on a timer for night viewing. My wife would have preferred that it be weighted to keep it in the water. No problemsUp date: Died toward the end of the 2018 season. Four seasons is not bad. Will probably buy another.
