Yes, this product is sufficient to repair an area 4''x7''. The backing fabric included is 10''x10''. It is suitable for multiple repairs on large areas.

Can you repair pin holes in vinyl with this

I'm guessing you could. I had a 4 inch split in my vinyl and it is holding up nicely. You could mix your color and probably apply it with a toothpick.

The armrest on my leather couch has a small area that has bubbled up, like something hot fell on it. no actual hole. how would this work

Well I shaved off the bubble part then put on the paste but there are no strips of grain to press onto the wet paste to match your furniture grain. So it didn't look very good and I couldn't get the color to match very well.
